Kristen Ludgate, senior vice president of Human Resources at 3MThe Impact You’ll Make in this RoleThe Business Analyst serves as the liaison between the customer community and the technical development team.
This person will be responsible for eliciting, analyzing, validating, specifying, verifying, and managing the business needs of the project stakeholders, including customers and end users.
The successful candidate will work closely with business units, subject matter experts and technical resources to identify business needs, define projects, develop requirements and test cases and working with the technical development team to project completion.
Here, you will make an impact by : Leading requirements analysis, validation and verification, ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiableEliciting requirements using interviews, document analysis, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, competitive product analysis, task and workflow analysis, and / or requirements workshops.
Own team backlog, including prioritization and refinement; make trade off decisions to maximize valueCommunicating (verbal and written) with business units that rely on that information to define system requirements or organizational processes and company managementCollecting and analyzing the project's business requirements and transfer the same knowledge to the development team.
Reviewing and / or preparing system documentation and specifications in accordance with methodology.Suggesting areas for process improvement along with possible solutionsFacilitating requirements prioritization based on business valueManaging requirements traceability information and track requirements status throughout the project.
Managing changes to requirements through effective use of change control processes and toolsBalancing technology and business issues as well as communicating appropriately with both technology and business expertsAssisting in enforcement of project deadlines, schedules, and methodologiesDeveloping wire frames, workflows, use case diagrams, flowcharts, and other analysis-type documentation.
Developing test scenarios and test cases, and testing activities necessary to assess the quality and completion of system implementationsPerforming data analytics using SQL and other tools as necessaryMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer science, Business or related field (completed and verified prior to start)3 years experience as a business analyst (large and small projects)1 year of experience with an enterprise workflow system like the Pega Systems Platform (Advantage Center) or 1 year experience in Data modeling and report development in an Oracle EBS environment and 1 year of big data analytics experience (BI) or 1 year experience with Document Management platforms such as Filenet, Datacap and 1 year experience with enterprise fax solution - Rightfax (Document Management) or 1 year experience with UI / UX Design and Developmen and 1 year experience with EAI / API integration using tools like Mulesoft or Oracle Fusion Middleware and 2 year experience in Java or .
Net custom application development environment (Digital Wound Care) or 1 year experience in the deployment or optimization of a Global Field Service platform (ServiceMax) or comparable system and 2 years experience deploying Salesforce platform capabilities (Field Service) or 1 years experience EAI / API integration using tools like Mulesoft and / or Oracle Fusion Middleware and 1 years experience using Cloud (AWS / Azure), SaaS / PaaS Support and Engineering, CI / CD and Working knowledge of Cloud, SaaS, PaaS, XML, FTP, ETL, API and Web Service (Integration) or 3 years experience with Oracle E-Business Suite either in the Order to Cash, Financials or Supply Chain Management space and 3 years experience implementing IT solutions in a global business environment (Oracle)Proficient in Microsoft Project, MS Office applications including : Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Understand all aspects of software development lifecycleUnderstand various SDLC methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall etc)Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include : Healthcare Order to Cash experienceExperience in developing metrics to measure project / business process performance.

Strong experience in requirements analysis, contribute to solution design that meets business requirementsLean / Six Sigma Green belt (or other process improvement disciplines).
Strong communication, facilitation and presentation skills across technical and senior operational management audiences.Familiar with various IT and PM tools JIRA, RTC etc.
Agile methodologiesITIL certified (preferred)Proficiency in one or more of the following areas : UI / UX Design and Development.
