This is not just an open position - it is an opportunity to build the capability and lead the team that will support the GSK Central Monitoring and Data Analytics Teams to develop scientifically credible, high quality evidence aligned with the needs of regulators, the scientific community, and decision makers responsible for granting access and reimbursement.
The role of Director, Data Analytics / Visualization will provide functional leadership all data programming activities within a defined Central Monitoring Area.
Leads teams to use effective risk planning strategies through data analysis.
The scope of Data Analytics / Visualizations includes development of :
Tools / visualization to support centralized monitoring of data representing areas critical to quality of clinical studies and programs
Tools / algorithms / Machine Learning used in central statistical monitoring including identification of multifactorial data anomalies
Visualizations / reports of operational data supporting implementation and continuous improvement of Risk Based Monitoring

Drives efforts to improve quality and efficiency of programming activities in a function
Leads a cross-functional, transnational team for a major change initiative with a wide remit across R&D
Sets strategy for developing and embedding standards across functions in accordance with internal and industry wide standards
Provides state-of-the-art programming knowledge / skills for process improvement initiatives or other major change initiatives
Builds Analytics / Visualization capabilities and team to provide advanced analytics / visualisations not available from our SaaS solution
Provides leadership / mentoring / expertise and sets the work priorities for a Data Analytics team
Serves as the contact and advocate for the programming function in proposing, negotiating and managing delivery of programming expertise to enhance business processes
Impactful interactions with regulatory agencies, external experts and / or other organisations regarding strategy and delivery
Your capabilities needed to succeed :
Strong people management skills
Proven competency of communication and influencing skills with key external experts and stakeholders (such as consultants, therapeutic area experts and regulators)
Ability to impact and influence on technical industry-wide regulatory and / or drug
Has extensive knowledge of related disciplines to enable integration into a cohesive project plan
Leads and makes major contributions to, an industry-wide working party or committee
Develops and effectively utilizes a wide network throughout company and with outsourced partners
Capability to adapt approaches to the diverse geographies and cultures in which we operate and be comfortable working across cultural / multi-functional teams in complex situations
The main experience required & educational background :
Bachelor of Science in mathematics, statistics, computer science (or related discipline)
Strong background in developing programs, technologies; experience in validations and GxP environment
Proved experience in leading projects
