Are you ready to become a part of our Risk and Finance IT Team? By joining our Team you will have a chance to build up your career by working with Market Risk systems (MaRS) and cooperating closely with our partners from various business areas.

MaRS (Market Risk System) is a system responsible for calculating Value at Risk of the Bank. This value tells how much the Bank can lose during market crash, given current positions and history of price changes.

Tens of thousands reports are calculated daily by various individuals from traders to risk management managers.

The system consists of many components running on 250+ production, test and disaster recovery Red Hat servers. Components are written in C++, SQL and Java languages.

MaRS team is working across locations and cover about 60+ IT people, currently 15 developers in Wroclaw.

Deployment and Monitoring scripts written in bash / python.

Key responsibilities :

  • You will ensure the stability of MaRS (one of Market Risk application ) production system.
  • You will diagnose and solve issues with Global MaRS application L3 team.
  • You will plan and execute application / infrastructure releases and configuration changes.
  • You will closely collaborate with production and platform services teams.
  • You will develop, co-ordinate and promote the effective functioning of problem management activities across all of Market Risk support teams.
  • You will monitor and maintain production and internal environments.
  • You will foster good working relationships with internal teams and hosting providers.
  • Open to discussing flexible / agile working.

    You Offer

  • You have 2+ years of experience in hands-on application support role.
  • You have 2+ years of C++ experience preferably with at least 1+ years of application development experience.
  • You have 2+ years of experience in PLSQL, preferably Oracle.
  • You have 2+ years of UNIX experience and in writing shell scripts.
  • You focus on providing high-quality customer service and support.
  • You work well under pressure and are able to juggle between tasks.
  • You are passionate about learning new things and improving your skills.
  • You are a trustworthy team member with positive can-do’ attitude.
  • You are a dedicated problem solver with good interpersonal skills.
  • You communicate in English fluently.
  • Optionally you offer :

  • Deep understanding of DevOps concepts, including Continues Integration, Continues Deployment.
  • You hold ITIL Certification.
