JOB SUMMARY : Provide support in multiple functional areasof Human Resources (HR) as assigned by the Manager, including but not limitedto, Recruitment and Employment, Personnel Records, Employee and / or LaborRelations, Payroll Administration, Job Evaluation, CompensationAdministration / Analysis, Benefits Administration, OD / Training, Office Servicesand Special Projects.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES : Performsa variety of HR duties of moderate complexity under general supervision and isexpected to apply demonstrated knowledge of HR policies and procedures.

Responsibilities vary, but may include any ofthe following :

Assists in the interpretation andenforcement of the HR policies, practices and procedures.Ensures compliance with policies throughtraining, coaching, audits and ongoing review of personnel actions.

Assists in the development and updaterecommendations for the Employee Handbook.

Ensures organizational charts are keptcurrent.

Gathers data on employee movement, suchas hiring, promotions, lateral transfers and terminations for local input andentry in PeopleSoft system.

Assists in the administration ofCompensation processes, such as merit increases, equity adjustments, promotionsand lateral transfers and in notification to local payroll providers.

Administers performance managementprogram to ensure effectiveness, compliance and equity within organization.

Generates various reports to meetstatutory or organizational requirements.

  • Provides payroll administration whenapplicable.Administration may includefollowing-up on sickness, vacation and overtime;
  • preparing information forpayroll external subcontractor; correcting and timely information forPeopleSoft for all modifications;
  • administering EIP and pension fund; andfilling all social returns.

    Maintains updated personnel files oneach employee.

    Coaches managers on steps to deal withperformance issues, unsatisfactory performers and how to terminate employees,if necessary.

    Conducts exit interviews and analyzesthe data collected through these interviews to develop recommendations andstrategies to address turnover.

    Assists in the design, development andimplementation of benefit plans and programs.Analyzes the benefit plans annually to ensure their competitiveness.

    Works with managers to develop andmaintain job descriptions.Ensures thatthe descriptions are accurate and that job requirements are comparable tosimilarly graded jobs.

    Obtains approvalfrom HQ HR before publishing new job descriptions.

    Responds to annual compensation and benefitssurveys.Reviews prior year input, ifavailable, matches positions, gathers the requested data and completes thesurvey.

    Provides Office Services duties whenapplicable to meet the facility requirements including dealing with thirdparties vendors, which provide cleaning, copy machines, office supplies, maildelivery, cafeteria, security, landlord, disaster recovery, et cetera.

    Coordinates local medical requirements,which provide physicals, drug tests, annual medical visits, et cetera.

    Provides recruiting assistance formanagers including, but not limited to ensuring position has been approved,tracking position openings and personnel changes, coordinating internal andexternal postings, developing newspaper ads, evaluating applications and resumesto determine qualifications, setting-

    up interview schedules, participating injob fairs and college recruiting, coordinating interns and summer hires,coordinating employee relocation needs and conducting new hire orientation.

    Assists International Service Employee’s(ISE) needs, such as visa process, work permit, housing search / negotiations,car allowances, schooling information, local market survey, et cetera.

    Coaches and counsels employees onwork-related issues.Investigates thecircumstances surrounding such issues.Discusses the matter with all employees involved or having knowledge ofthe situation and with the manager(s) of the employee(s).

    Develops action plans for bringing resolutionto employees’ concerns.

    Supports Corporate Learning Excellence initiativesand delivers core HR process training to employees and managers.

    Assists manager with learning and developmentinitiatives for the assigned area.

    Assists manager with communication of HR initiativesthroughout the assigned area.

    Performs other HR duties as specified bythe manager.

    Participates in accomplishment ofcontinuous improvement objectives for the department.Progress toward accomplishment of these ismeasured through maintenance of necessary measurements and analysis ofassociated data.

    Participates in theidentification of problem areas and development of resolutions to address them.

    Understands the Harassment policy of thecompany and is responsible for its application in all aspects of employment.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS :

    SKILLS,ABILITIES, AND KNOWLEDGE :

    Demonstrated knowledge of variouscountries’ labor laws and regulations governing the Human Resources function.

    Demonstrated knowledge of Humanresources policies, practices, and procedures.

    Demonstrated ability to effectively communicatewith all managers and employee levels.

    Demonstrated ability to have firm andtactful, constructive conversations with employees, employment candidates andmanagers.

    Demonstrated knowledge of and ability toapply documentation and flow-charting techniques.

    Demonstrated knowledge of and ability toapply math computation skills, including basic addition, subtraction,multiplication, and division as well as statistics and other mathematicalconcepts.

    Demonstrated ability to create andmaintain basic spreadsheets, word processing documents and mail merges.

    Proven ability to apply a customerservice skills and techniques.

    Demonstrated ability to analyzesituations, make decisions and take measured risks using available data as wellas insight.

    Proven ability to concentrate on resultswhile being flexible to achieve goals and have a sense of urgency andwillingness to accept accountability.

    Demonstrated ability to develop andmaintain good interpersonal relationships working effectively with othersinside and outside the company.

    Proven ability to strive for quality aswell as timeless, while maintaining perspective as to the outcome of thedecisions.

    Proven ability to maintain high-level ofconfidentiality (must sign confidential agreement).

    Ability to sit for 75% of the workdayand utilize a keyboard for 75% of the workday.

    Ability and willingness to travel asneeded not to exceed 25% of the time.
