Take it seriously. Make it fun. Know it matters.As the Associate Consultant - Underwriting Assistant you will be directly working with International Financial Lines Underwriting Unit in London.

You will perform underwriting support activities associated with new business, renewals, maintenance of the accounts and on models and systems.

You will utilize your strong communication and relationship building skills as you work closely with the underwriters, clients and various functions and departments within the company.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

  • Support of IFL Underwriters and Middle Office
  • Research and clerical support (quotes, submissions, preparing various policy documentation)
  • Operation of rating models and underwriting systems and involvement in the wider pricing and underwriting process
  • Underwriting administration throughout the underwriting process and subsequent to binding including responsibility for input into and maintenance of the transactional system, document management system and exposure management system
  • Account responsibility / non-material underwriting will be forthcoming dependent on the candidate
  • Ad hoc analysis and tasks
  • You will report to the Local Assistant Manager

    We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills :

  • At least two years of experience gained in international environment
  • Previous work experience in the insurance industry
  • University degree
  • Fluent English is a must
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Self-disciplined personality
  • Strong competency in MS Office applications : MS Outlook, MS Word and Excel required.
  • Keen interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with internal and external colleagues.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Willingness and capability to learn.
  • Demonstrated attributes of attention to quality and detail, decision-making and problem-solving.
