Junior Oracle Solutions Engineer

Job Description :

Achieve and maintain technical requirements as set out by Oracle, including a base level of certifications required for distribution.

Providing Oracle pre-sales support to our partners, as well as Arrow ECS including :

Be proactive and support solutions opportunities with our partners.

Championing Arrow linecard vendors where appropriate and leveraging conversations to identify suitable opportunities to our partners and customers.

Create and maintain key customer, vendor and partner relationships.

Align themselves closely with the Oracle sales team within Arrow working together with the Sales teams and promoting collaboration.

Key Attributes

Hold a Technical certification or accreditation for Oracle.

Good presentation skills for demos and webinars

Clear communication and Interpersonal skills

Technical Knowledge

Understanding of one of the following :

Oracle Software Database and Options.

Understand Oracle licensing rules and regulations around Oracle Database and associated options. How Database License rules are attributed to various vendor Servers, how to best license in a virtualized environment , what are the differences between Standard Edition and Enterprise Edition.

Oracle Systems

Basic understanding of the range from Oracle, questions that partners need to ask before we can put together a working config

Basics of Engineered Systems - where they fit and what they do

A good basic understanding of Oracle Cloud is desired, including the basics around Oracle OCI, where it fits and how the bring your on prem licenses into Cloud works.

What is in it For You?

This role is externally facing and therefore there will be the expectation that you will be required to travel upwards of 30% of the time.
