Working with Global Business Services, you will in this role accomplish activities of BAU setup for Workday and Best of Breeds applications in the context of Project Fusion.

This project will transform HR delivery for ABB globally by moving from today’s dispersed HCM landscape to an operating model that builds on a single Workday instance with best-of-breed add-ons for superior user experience for employees, line managers, HR professionals and applicants.

Complete, fully detailed and correct data migration rules as well as automated and manual procedures are vital for the successful activation of the new system given the global go-live on one date.

The role reports to Reporting to Project Fusion Technical Stream Lead.

Your responsibilities

  • Manage design &implementation project of BAU setup for Fusion landscape (Workday / Best of Breeds apps) in ABB and including service catalogue &design, segregation of roles &responsibilities between : global HR, HR country teams and IS Function, other internal stakeholders, Workday, SaaS providers.
  • Defines, with key stakeholders, the scope of work, cost / budget, resources are required, time schedule, and detailed work allocation.
  • Liaise with business stakeholders to understand and consider future HR Function operating model into the BAU IS setup
  • Coordinate with other internal IS teams their involvement and contribution to the project and ensure that IS established operating model is embedded in the BAU design model post Fusion
  • Contribute to the sourcing activities for the new BAU HR IS team create team org setup, job descriptions, validate existing team setup & capacity, plan reskills activities, plan proper mix between internal and external roles & capacity, lead sourcing for the external support provider, prepare and implement onboarding plan that allows HR IS BAU team to get essential understanding and practical experience of the Workday / Best of breeds applications in ABB
  • Prepare transition plan and framework for the handover project from Fusion program and sub-projects to the new BAU model;
  • Perform handover activities to the new team leadership of HR IS BAU setup team to ensure that framework agreed during the project will be continued
  • Cooperate with Cutover manager and support Gate 5 and Gate 6 preparations
  • Review the market best practices regarding running Workday / Best of Breeds solutions, validate with ABB needs and apply whenever possible
  • Orchestrate contributors / stakeholders and participate in status meetings on project and Fusion Program levels, where required
  • Work closely with Fusion Program leads, with HR PM being a counterpart to establish HR new operating model, to ensure that timelines, deliverables and other dependencies are clearly expressed and under common control
  • Accommodate to geographically dispersed project teams
  • Effectively organize, monitor and control activities to ensure achievement of planned stage-gates and efficient utilization of available resources.
  • Use knowledge and experience to assess what lies ahead at the initial stages of the project, assessing what information they have and don’t have, the risks and issues that may arise during the project and to decide on the best way to proceed
  • Effectively monitor and control project progress on stream level, proactive manage and mitigate project risks.

  • Demonstrated customer focus with the ability to build effective working relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Expert knowledge in IS service management
  • Experience in RFX processes and building services with external partners
  • Organization, time management, decision making, negotiation, optimism, flexibility, persistence, quality and results orientation
  • IS Project Management toolbox experience.
  • Strong communication and people management skills.
  • Ability to work with virtual teams in international environment
