The goal of the role : The Sr Analyst, Insights & Analytics is responsible for extracting and visualizing Insights from data to Global Diabetes Care for existing and new business initiatives, models, and products;
and supports the distribution of these Insights to decision makers across the organization.
As a key member of the business transformation team, the individual in this role will help define and build insights and insight generation capabilities that will support data-driven decision making at all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities include the creation and execution of processes to closely monitor and report on patient, market, and competitor data to ensure senior leadership has the tools to make informed, objective decisions;
and the provision of analytical and modeling support to inform global and country specific analytics projects.
What you’ll be doing for us :
The Sr Analyst, Global Insights & Analytics, is responsible for all large-scale Data Mining in the Global Insights team, generating Insights especially from patient data, to support product development and commercialization of existing products.
This includes both behavioral and survey data.
Responsible for maintaining and improving reporting solutions and visualizations for Patient Insights, to optimally support existing business and development of future opportunities with existing data.
Responsible for collating and storing all Insights-relevant data, automating all relevant processes and liaising with country & functional partners to ensure accuracy and compliance with single-source-of-truth principle.
Responsible for the development of market models for sparse-data markets, from ingestion of available data incl. open-source and unstructured data, to building validating algorithms to extrapolate missing data & ensure consistency with related existing data;
to developing visualizations appropriate for relevant business units & decision makers.
Responsible for supporting the rest of the Global Insights & Analytics team as well as senior management with ad-hoc analytics & data analysis for special projects.
Skills & competencies you’ll need for success :
University degree in Economics or Business with specialization in an analytical discipline; or Masters degree in Data Science or similar
min.3-4 years of experience in Market Insights / Analytics
High degree of numeracy and confidence with the techniques of analysis in large data sets
Able to design visualizations to meet different stakeholders’ needs
Implementation & maintenance experience for complex reporting solutions
Experience with ETL processes
Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate complex ideas and data simply
Intellectually curious, with attention to detail and strong value for accuracy, without losing bigger picture
Self-motivated, dynamic and results-driven; thrives under pressure
Self-directed and flexible, able to deliver simultaneously across projects of different priorities and pace
Fluent in English, oral and written
Specialized knowledge :
Certifications in Alteryx (at least Designer Core)
Experience with common BI tools (PowerBI experience preferred)
Proficient in Excel, VBA
Other Data tools (SAS / SPSS, Python, R, Knime, ...) a plus
