Within the Shared Service concept, the mission Accounts Payable Manager is to lead an organization responsible to ensure the accuracy, reliability and integrity of the AP invoice processing for several reporting entities across Europe.

This includes the responsibility over the GRNI monitoring and AP subledger analysis and reconciliations. This role also supervises the High Risk payment process for the whole EMEA.

This professional also needs to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, Stryker policies and procedures and any applicable laws and regulations.

Additionally, the expectation of this role is to drive cost efficiency with procedure simplification, process standardization and systems opportunities.

Key Activities and Accountabilities

  • Responsible for HR supervisory responsibilities of teams ranging from 20 to 25 employees with 3 to 4 direct reports
  • Ensures the strategy of the department is effectively implemented by ensuring consistent communication, reinforcement and management of defined objectives
  • Monitors staff resource planning, organizing, and monitoring of key processes, including hiring, training, and evaluating staff
  • Build analytical capabilities within the team and drives ongoing procedure simplification and process standardization
  • Develop the partnership with the Commercial and RHQ organizations for EMEA
  • Ensures an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close aligned with A2R commercial
  • Analyze the impacts of projects onto the teams, and validates implementation
  • Education and Experience

  • Proven experience in Finance / AP operations roles + minimum experience of 4 years in people management role, preferably within a Shared Service Center
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong knowledge of internal control concepts
  • Good knowledge of USGAAP is preferred
  • Good working knowledge of SAP, Oracle or any other ERPs
