The new role will manage a team of around Krakow-based 10 developers and QA of all levels including technical leads and be a senior position in our wider technology organisation in Krakow.
It is a new role created to support our growth and plans for Krakow.
The wider group in Krakow and the UK manage a portfolio of 40 applications with around 5 key applications supporting the UK Retirement business, the majority of which are .
NET applications with web, WPF or Office front ends. These are mainly used by internal consultants with a few externally facing websites.
The groups follow the agile methodology, using either scrum or Kanban.
Working closely with stakeholders and technology leaders to define a product / portfolio roadmap
Coaching, managing and motivating leads, developers and testers
Collaborating with project managers and business analysts
Building relationships with global IT organisations
Defining and implementing software development best practice
Management reporting for leadership
3+ years of management experience, primarily of developers
Supporting production environments including change management and level 3 support
8+ years of C# .NET Development experience
Extensive experience of SQL Server including design and TSQL
Ability and willingness to work with multiple languages, applications and frameworks simultaneously
Fantastic communication and technical writing skills with the ability to communicate (verbally and written) to all levels of the business in English
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Experience managing leads as well as individual contributors
Experience with actuarial / financial applications
Front end development using WPF, ASP.NET, .NET Core and Angular
Hosting applications in Azure
Architecture, either Enterprise, Solutions or Technical
Using Azure DevOps & Git
