Reporting into the Purchasing & Materials Manager based in the UK, this is a key role in our supply chain strategy to meet projected business levels.
In this role, you’ll be part of a small team creating a fit for purpose supply chain in order to achieve business quality and cost targets.
You will negotiate and maintain pricing and supply agreements with all key vendors as well as work collaboratively with the Engineering and Quality Teams, both locally and in the UK, to assist the introduction of new products by identifying and selecting suitable vendors.
You’ll engage with our key vendors on value analysis / value engineering as part of our company procurement strategy and lead cost down projects and create vendor approval programmes.
You’ll also identify new vendors worldwide to meet cost, quality, and innovation targets and negotiate general purchase agreements with key vendors.
Ideally you will have a relevant degree or CIPS qualification along with experience of working in a supply chain role in a high mix low volume manufacturing environment and experience of world-wide sourcing to achieve best cost.
You’ll be an experienced user of MRP systems, ideally with experience of using SAP. You must have the ability to read mechanical drawings.
Knowledge of electronic components, mechanical and optical components would be beneficial. Key to this role are strong negotiation skills as well as proven success of innovation and cost down.
Working in Poland for a UK based manager, you will need to be able to confidently communicate in both English and Polish.
This will be a busy and demanding role so resilience and the ability to work under pressure is vital.
