Currently we are looking for a Senior Data & Chemical Process Engineer as we are supporting our FMCG partner in developing Advanced Analytics Competence Center which is a global, centralized unit with the ambition to strengthen data-driven decision-making and the development of smart data products for day-to-day operations.

The team is meant to be a nucleus radiating data-driven entrepreneurial culture by acting as incubator to realize ideas by simply doing it : creating smart data products in all areas of business, be it sales, marketing, purchasing, logistics, but above all manufacturing.

The team has a lot of freedom to shape this, especially in the use of tools and technology, but also by introducing new concepts, solutions and ways of working.

We are searching for seasoned process and data analytics expert capable of delivering in end-to-end manner various data analytics products to join existing team of top-class data engineering and data science specialists.

The Senior Data & Chemical Process Engineer will be responsible for driving process optimization through the development and implementation of advanced analytics solutions, as well as for coordinating problem solving processes to identify and prioritize solutions ensuring and measuring business impact.

This position will have end-to-end responsibility for digital product decisions and outcomes related to one or more analytics solutions.

If you join us, your responsibilities will include :

understanding overall business needs and translating them into advanced analytics language

conducting diagnostics to identify use case opportunities

turning prototypes and concepts into working, production-rate, machine learning solutions at scale

driving optimization, testing and tooling to improve quality and response of machine learning solutions

driving digital mindset within the organization

developing expertise on key digital themes in the Manufacturing area, such as Real-Time Process Optimization, Predictive Maintenance and Energy Management

We expect :

advanced university degree in chemical engineering or process engineering or related field

significant experience in similar role in chemical and / or food manufacturing industry

at least 3 years prior experience in production process at manufacturing plants shop floor experience in such roles as production engineer, improvement engineer, process engineer, etc.

excellent analytical and quantitative skills

experience in working with large data sets, relational databases , and programming (Python and / or R is preferred)

very good understanding of the engineering principles of a processing units (reactors, spray dryers, distillation columns)

Project Management skills (planning, rituals, tracking, KPIs, stakeholder management)

ability to lead change and deliver results

effective communication skills across all levels of the organization

demonstrated teamwork and networking skills

effective time management skills and ability to work independently

fluent English as you will communicate in English almost all the time

readiness to travel up to 40% of work time on average (visiting manufacturing sites based in different European countries);

it may rise to 50% in specific period but in a few months perspective it will be no more than 40%

Nice to have :

previous experience as data scientist or data engineer
