The Vendor Accounting Operations team consists of a group of professionals that are responsible for the processing, accounting, taxation and payment of invoices, travel and expense reimbursements and payments for the management companies, related family office entities, and Point72 funds.

The successful candidate must be able to lead a team, proactively manage complex processes across the world and meet short and long-term milestones.

The candidate must also be able to perform and excel in a dynamic, fast paced environment and work effectively under pressure.

What you’ll do :

Have oversight, ownership and management of a team of professionals that are responsible for a wide range of responsibilities such as processing, coding and payment of vendor invoices, tax governance, filings and payments, supplier management, T&E audits, internal and external audits and vendor & client inquiries and requests

Set and facilitate the achievement of department objectives

Build and maintain strong cross functional relationships with employees, clients, vendors and the U.S. based team; Manage vendor operational requirements across multiple countries, including Poland, U.

S., U.K., France, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and Australia.

  • Lead the preparation, review and timing of the monthly close of the financial records, balance sheet reconciliations, resolution of balance variances and posting of month-end information;
  • ensure accuracy of financial statements

    Provide accounting assistance to operations staff

    Select and hire employees for the group

    Collaborate with the U.S. team timely, efficiently and effectively while managing U.S. time zone requirements and escalating potential issues proactively

    Manage and collaborate with the U.S. third-party service provider responsible for managing and capturing our invoices through their OCR system, including coding, supplier set ups and information sharing in Workday.

    Manage the preparation of all global filing obligations in compliance with the deadlines and jurisdiction rules, regulations and reporting requirements (e.

    g., Forms US 1099, 1042, HK IR56M and UK IR35)

    Manage the development, implementation and maintenance of systems, procedures and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines

    Manage the preparation & reporting of various world-wide obligations

    Document processes and policies and oversee their implementation

    Project oversight. Liaison with Tech and onshore team to achieve deliverables

    What’s required :

    Candidates should have 5-15 years of finance and accounting experience including experience with accounts payable and managing a team

    Workday Financial Management system knowledge a plus

    Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, but other academic backgrounds will be considered

    Superb planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work to meet deadlines while managing multiple priorities and talent

    Strong proficiency in computer skills / experience including advanced Excel skills with knowledge of VLOOKUP’s, sum ifs and pivot tables

    Strong communication skills (English language verbal and writing skills); proficiencies with other languages (French and Japanese) a plus

    Proficient in Microsoft Office 365

    Experience in US sales / use tax and filings and certain foreign tax (VAT / GST / JST) is desirable

    Skillful problem solver, resourceful, enjoys a fast-paced environment, and has strong attention to detail

    Strong quantitative analytical skills, familiarity with data analysis and database tools highly desirable

    Excellent relationship and customer management skills

    Self-motivated, self-reliant with a hands-on approach
