Position Description

  • Front-end ownership and responsibility of all content and media assets (created by the marketing content team) on QIAGEN website.
  • Lead a team of four web content editors to continuously manage, maintain and optimize provided content and media assets with the goal of enabling high web performance and effectively communicating the QIAGEN message to consumers.
  • Responsibility for maintenance of assets on supporting platforms such as the Digital Asset Management system.
  • Steer the creation of new content pages with the content provided by the marketing content team and ensure support of online campaigns in accordance with UI, brand and SEO guidelines.
  • Own and ensure the quality of delivered and published content (and processes) based on web performance criteria (UI, SEO, etc.).
  • Proactively initiate and steer the regular content planning with business and creative teams.
  • Manage interface to key stakeholders (SEO specialists, UX Manager, web shop managers, content marketing teams, channel experts, campaign managers, and global product managers).
  • Initiate and steer strategic improvement of web performance with key stakeholders.
  • Set up KPIs for content performance on the website, cooperate with stakeholders and drive team to continuously improve results.
  • Ensure efficient and effective delivery of services by external content providers and agencies, consultants and partners.
  • Plan and coordinate feedback systems (reviews, UX testing, etc.) UI development .
  • Train new team members on CMS functionality and web performance basics.
  • Support creation and implementation of content marketing strategy onsite and offsite.
  • Support A / B testing coordinated by UX Manager.
  • Position Requirements

  • 5+ years working experience in online marketing or digital content management and creation, especially managing product and marketing content.
  • 2+ years of experience in leading similar teams, especially content management teams.
  • At least Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, journalism, business administration or relevant fields; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Profound knowledge and proven experience in producing optimized content for both SEO performance (SEO strategy, web analytics) and human reception (marketing and brand).
  • Basic understanding of common technologies for building a website (XHTML, XML, SQL, etc.).
  • Relevant experience with web CMS systems, preferably SiteCore .
  • Solid design background (educational or working experience).
  • Preferably with online marketing and advertising know-how (digital engagement, SEO, mobile).
  • Basic experience with management of budgets responsibility.
  • Experience in working with and managing 3rd party suppliers and agencies.
  • Preferably experienced in the biotechnology sector or adjacent sectors such as medicine and / or pharmaceutical.

  • Knowledge in online reception and reading principals.
