The senior painter will need to be well versed in all aspects of the paint process, from prep work through finesse. Manual spraying experience is essential.
Visual and tactile inspection and recognitions of components that will produce defects in paint processes
Competent repair of outward and inward dents and creases
Recognition and repair of E-coat mapping / defects
Recognition and repair of rough surfaces and sanding marks
Proficient repair of fiberglass components
Be able to properly repair components to paint ready status
Experienced in manual spray techniques and competency spraying solid and metallic colors
Be able to spot repair and have extensive knowledge of proper finesse procedures
High school graduate or GED equivalent
An attached resume is required
Capable of passing respirator test
Must be capable of passing Paint Department physical
Must be capable of passing respiratory physical
Must be able to completely apply Topcoat and Clearcoat to all parts of truck and meet Corporate quality appearance criteria
Must be able to climb ladders without restrictions to paint roofs of cabs
Must be able to work in Team Environment
Must be able to wear fresh air hood and suit at all times when applying topcoat or working in paint booths
Must follow all safety-related procedures when disposing of waste and hazardous material
Must be able to key production processes at required pace
Experience with painting and / or body work
Ability to use paint system tools : DA Sander, Files, Filler, activator, and associated application tools, Dent removal tools (hammers, blocks, popper, etc.
Fiberglass repair materials, Paint spray gun
