Role Overview
The role of VP Data Architect is to refine a blueprint of a data environment that aligns with the short- and long-term goals of SPDR Business and its unique contextual requirements.
This will include visualizing and designing SPDR Business’ data management framework. Most importantly, the Data Architect will identify people who will consume that data and their unique requirements to have oversight on flows of data between data consumers and data sources.
Reporting directly to the Global Head of SPDR Business Intelligence, the Data Architect will closely work with three key stakeholder groups :
SPDR Data Science and Reporting teams who leverage the data in the SPDR data warehouse to perform various data science and reporting related activities.
The SPDR Data Architect will ensure high quality data is readily available for these key users Sales Planning and Strategy, who are responsible for collecting requirements for new reporting capabilities.
The SPDR Data Architect will evaluate the requirements vs. current and future capabilities and advise on options for execution SSGA IT team, who own the technical delivery of the required capabilities and the technology roadmap for future data warehouse enhancements.
The SPDR Data Architect will ensure alignment in approach and delivery of the SPDR business’ needs
Overall, you will design and deliver systematic solutions to both new reporting and analytics requirements, and to enhance business as usual deliverables including compensation and quarterly business review reporting.
You will review technical designs to ensure they meet requirements and will scale to future asks. You will offer ideas on how insights and can drive positive business outcomes.
You will ensure data is answering the appropriate questions to drive positive behavior.
