Your role in the team Our Data Management team is nothing if not ambitious. We pride ourselves on delivering operational and analytical solutions ranging from traditional batch data warehousing to low latency applications.
We are building world-class Big Data platform which will give us power to process streams of data and enable machine learning and advanced analytics capabilities.
Everything cloud-based for scalability and speed to market. As an Incident Manager you will responsible for :
Facilitating technical investigations and to recover operational services as quickly as possible, driving incidents resolution of major severities in conjunction with technical support teams.
Assessing the impact of incidents and Communicating the impact of incidents and the progress toward recoveryto convey the business effect on the company and its customers
Hosting retrospective meetings to learn from incidents and prevent future occurrences, creating incident reports and ensuring prevention has been applied.
Creating and maintaining knowledge with repeatable procedures with a goal of reducing the number of Incidents
Driving faster resolution of technology issues and a reduction in volumes of technology issues in conjunction with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team.
Working efficiently wit SRE teams to design and scope incident or escalation management procedures.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences
Ability to understand technical and business processes to a level that allows them to set actions, understand the urgency and drive incidents through to conclusion at the earliest.
Experience in working with service management tools like PagerDuty, Service Now, JIRA, New Relic or Splunk.
Good understanding of Data Management concepts such as Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, Big Data, Business Intelligence and technologies like Spark, ETL tools, SQL and non-SQL databases.
Experience in dealing with cloud services (AWS being the plus but not essential)
Experience in dealing with any of MS SQL, Snowflake, NiFi, Airflow, Databricks, Spark, Kafka, PowerBI is a plus.
Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
A desire to find ways to continually improve the service delivered to stakeholders
