Project Analyst in GL team

Project Analyst is a position in the RTA team with primary responsibility to support implementation of the multiple process improvements and standardization initiatives associated with the deployment of the Country Central Finance and the RTA Global Operating Model.

This role will leverage on strong accounting and project management skills to closely collaborate with the Regional Country Central Finance Teams of EMEA, the RTA SSC Organization and CapGemini to deliver on committed processes optimizations and synergies.

Financial knowledge and analytical skills are crucial in this role; however communication and interpersonal skills are of similar importance.

    You will report to the Optimization Project Lead (RTA).

    Key Accountabilities

  • Be a catalyst to generate ideas / options to optimize RTA process across EMEA for day-to-day operations. Your input and engagement will be crucial throughout whole duration of the project to make sure that all stakeholders are well identified and are systemically updated.
  • Leverage the RTA and Country Central Finance teams to deliver on those projects in a sustainable way, including aligning priorities between the respective teams in line with operational needs;
  • identify and address potential risks on projects execution and people constraints through action plans.

  • Use manufacturing excellence tools to make sure that change is smooth and well received. You will also deal with project evidence and provide necessary documentation to management.
  • Support to drive the projects in a way that deliver the defined Finance GO vision, to achieve the optimal balance of efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure adequate documentation of process maps, procedures and roles & responsibilities to support new processes along with ensuring knowledge retention requirements identified have been met.
  • Prepare trainings incl. materials as and where needed.

  • Fulfilling SLA’s or Work Transfer Forms for RTA group based on previously agreed format.
  • Play an active role in implementing new financial standards, solutions and tools.
  • Become an expert in the RTA processes to be able to assist with month-end activities (if needed) and act as SME for optimized processes.
  • Coordinating and maintaining project documentation on regular basis.
  • Encourage creativity and innovation providing insights and recommendations for improvements.

  • Ability to work in a multi-tasking, rapidly changing and sometimes stressful environment
  • Provide quality decision support to Management based on strong understanding of RTA processes
  • Recognize the company's needs in the accounting area and help Project Lead to adjust project plans accordingly
  • Education

  • University degree in Accounting, Management or Finance, with an ambition to develop a career in projects on Accounting and Finance area
  • Experience

  • 4+ years company or related experience in the area of accounting
  • Excellent understanding of finance and accounting principles
  • US GAAP experience (would be an asset)
  • Experience in leading projects (would be an asset)
  • Proficiency in SAP, MS Excel and Power Point
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English
  • Strong desire for continuous process improvement
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task handling
  • Ability to work as part of a team to accomplish common goals and to flex to assist other Team members with their work
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills ability to maintain positive work relationships
  • Excellent research and reporting skills
