Job Description

The IT Service Delivery Manager, Asset Management , is responsible for developing and maturing Software Asset Management by taking ownership of hardware and software asset management capability and driving maturity in asset management, asset life cycle planning, consumption and optimization, process improvement initiatives and process automation.

Other ITSM process are in scope of this role as well.

This role is based in our Tech Hub in Wroclaw and reports to the Senior Manager, IT Service Management and is a member of the Enterprise Technology team.

responsibilities :

adding software assets into a database / SAM tool

first point of contact for software asset requests (approval process)

daily management of SAM tool

management of any physical licenses

producing Standard SAM reports

analyses software assets deployed throughout the organization

improve Service Catalogue

make sure that company CMDB is up to date

key skills and responsibilities :

  • asset management - manages and maintains the service compliance of all IT and service assets in line with business and regulatory requirements involving knowledge of financial and technical processes, tools and techniques.
  • Identifies, assesses and communicates associated risks. Ensures asset controllers, infrastructure teams and the business co-

    ordinate and optimise value, maintain control and maintain appropriate legal compliance.

  • availability management - AVMT - contributes to the availability management process and its operation and performs defined availability management tasks.
  • Analyses service and component availability, reliability, maintainability and serviceability. Ensures that services and components meet and continue to meet all of their agreed performance targets and service levels.

    Implements arrangements for disaster recovery and documents recovery procedures. Conducts testing of recovery procedures.

    Service level management - SLMO - Level 4 Performs defined tasks to monitor service delivery against service level agreements and maintains records of relevant information.

    Analyses service records against agreed service levels regularly to identify actions required to maintain or improve levels of service, and initiates or reports these actions.

  • configuration management - CFMG - proposes and agrees the configuration items (CIs) to be uniquely identified with naming conventions.
  • Ensures that operational processes are in place to maintain secure configuration,

  • consistent classification and management of CIs, and for the verification and audit of configuration records. Develops, configures and maintains tools (including automation) to identify, track, log and maintain accurate, complete and current information.
  • Reports on the status of configuration management. Identifies problems and issues and recommend corrective actions.

    education / licenses / certifications :

  • Degree level education
  • ITIL or IT4IT Service Management Qualifications
  • Accreditation with one of the industry recognised project management methods
  • experience and technical competencies expected :

  • 2 to 3 years of managing Software Asset Management on behalf of an enterprise; or 5 to 6 years of leading software or hardware asset management for service providers delivery into an enterprise
  • experience of setting Asset Management strategy, proposing improvements, developing adoption, and driving maturity
  • experience of measurable service KPI improvements
  • experience of driving automation to asset management processes and reduce costs
  • expert knowledge of demand and capacity planning
  • strong knowledge of IT Infrastructure and IT Application service management
  • strong knowledge of IT Service Management operating models for infrastructure (ITIL) and ServiceNow (preferred) or equivalent tools
  • strong knowledge of ServiceNow Software Asset Management module
