Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Financial Planning & Analysis Teams develop, interpret and implement financial concepts for financial planning and control.
They perform technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. They gather, analyze, prepare and summarize recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements and operating forecasts.
The Financial Planning & Analysis Teams also perform economic research and studies in the areas of rates of return, depreciations, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance and impact of governmental requirements.
What your background should look like :
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Costing of manufactured and purchased items.
Lead the annual cost roll
Support Sr. Plant Controller on the Labour, Overhead and Burden rates calculation
Cost Estimation models or What If scenarios to support business decisions.
Support on Make or Buy analysis
Analysis of standard costs and actual production costs and resolution of issues.
Margin analysis specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability.
Comparison of actual costs to estimates and analysis of variances.
Partner with Product Data Management to ensure Bill Of Material and Cost are aligned as result of activity changes.
Coordinate the recosting process and impact analysis.
Identify cost drivers and make recommendations for cost improvement.
Standard operational reporting and ad hoc request reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :
Bachelor Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field.
Minimum 3 years’ experience working on a manufacturing plant
Standard cost accounting experience is a plus
Comfortable to work in a fast-paced, international matrix organization.
Natural curiosity about business operations and processes
Must be highly organized and able to work under pressure
Self-starter and ability to work independently through a proactive approach to problem solving
Positive and energetic approach with a can-do attitude
Accuracy and attention to detail
Demonstrated knowledge of ERP systems, SAP is a plus
Demonstrated computer proficiency, excellent spreadsheet skills (MS Office applications) required.
