Senior Materials Planner

Your key deliverables :

  • Responsibility for Suppliers to deliver on time to meet business requirements, as well as for the scheduling of internal and external Supply Chains.
  • Plan work order parts requirements on daily basis. Accumulate material information regarding rough material status, work-in-process material, and part usage on a weekly basis.
  • Analyse schedule requirements from scheduling program & data base download. Reschedule system as required to maintain continuity of workflow.
  • Monitor assignments for consolidations & special instructions.

  • Establish lot size, due dates, and sequence for production groups to meet and exceed delivery requirements. Communicate and expedite rough material requirements through the Tczew planning department, avoiding over-shipments and excessive transportation costs.
  • Communicate schedule changes and updates to suppliers. Communicates customer requirements to the people involved.

  • Implement and manage pull production techniques for purchased and manufactured parts (Kanban, consignment, VMI etc.). Maintain and update all associated materials processes, utilizing lean tools, where appropriate.
  • Process development and measurement to ensure continuous improvement. Monitor and maintain KanBan system.

  • Develop positive ethical relationships with suppliers and assure supplier compliance with Eaton Corporate initiatives.
  • Coordinate phase in / out of finished and rough inventory to minimize material excesses. Analysing, controlling and monitoring the final assembly and material inventory levels to fulfil the planned schedule on time.
  • Monitor rough material delivery performance.

  • Provide rough materials shortage information for all planners.
  • Gathers requirements and on hand balances from download (Planned usage). Gathers daily average usage, less past due service schedule requirements from planning report (Current usage).
  • Evaluates the requirement data from download and planning reports to determine correct daily average usage.

  • Serve on special assignments and projects assigned by the material manager. Ensures all schedules meet customer requirements and monthly production scheduled project.
  • Matching up parts that are family to be needed by assembly of service at the same time to significantly reduce set-up cost and process time.
  • Qualifications

    What we are looking for :

  • Education in supply chain management or other related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of material planning experience.
  • Material scheduling experience.
  • Special emphasis on knowing the following ERP and data base systems.
  • KanBan and Lean knowledge.
  • Working knowledge of with materials planning processes.
  • Ability to demonstrate a sense of urgency to proactively schedule and forecast to maintain delivery performance.
  • Ability to make decisions based on plant requirements and knowledge of transportation modes.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain management in a commodity based manufacturing environment.
  • Organization and time management skills.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Out-of-the box thinking.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and Eaton Business Partners at all levels of the organization.
  • English skills, Polish language skills - good in writing and speaking
  • Ms Office knowledge
  • Understanding of Eaton Materials Strategy.
