Business architects are to develop a multidimensional business views on the capabilities, information, technology and the inter-relationship on the different programs and capabilities within the end-to-end value streams.
The Business Architects seek to understand the business functions and relevant technology, incorporate knowledge of organizational functions (HR, Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, etc.
and apply industry standards to provide multi views of the enterprise strategies, products, technology, policies and impact on the organization.
The Business Architects understand the clients’ strategies and requirements and relate those requirements to overall business capabilities.
The Business Architects will harness existing solutions and delivery options from the EY ecosystem and assess opportunities on reusability, automation and new technologies to provide innovative ideas and accelerate delivery of value for the clients' investment and strategic positioning.
Your key responsibilities
Work with other functions at every level of the organization soliciting strategic imperatives from senior leaders and supporting product teams and business teams as they apply business architecture work products to build their business plans
Assemble, assess and coordinate tactical and strategic insight, including data, policies, and controls that can be shared across business units or enterprise
Apply industry based structured business architecture approach and methodology to develop multidimensional business views on the capabilities, information, inter-relationship, impact and value delivery
Understand the primary business functions and people involved in the workflows and the ability to distinguish the capabilities that can be adopted or performed by internal and external entities, alliance, vendors and systems
Conduct, direct and lead all aspects of the exploration, gathering and definition of business problems, strategic opportunities and design options to achieve business objectives
Incorporate solution options to include capabilities across service lines, product boundaries and alliance platforms that best help the clients with their business transformation and goals
Collaborate and clarify design and workflow with solution architect where strategy be executed, and capabilities be implemented and mapped to multiple value streams
Lead the governance of business architecture standards and principles and apply influence across delivery teams to ensure alignment and application of standard methodology
Champion business architecture ensuring its value and application is understood across the organisation and that business architecture assets support other domains

Have broad enterprise view and knowledge of business domain with an understanding of functions within the organization (Finance & Accounting, HR, Procurement, Supply Chain) and how they interact to drive business outcomes
Ability to evaluate organization strategies, business issues and functional inter-dependencies and apply business architecture practices to construct business architecture models
Aware of new and emerging technology and determine potential value and relevance in developments of solutions within the business framework
Engage in business case development, functional analysis, workflow analysis, user experience analysis and system design to define value propositions including risks, efficiency and cost impact
Ability to model the organizational impact of technology investments and how they help to transform the business strategically, operationally and financially
Ability to research, collaborate and identify technology services, operating models and processes to align with the enterprise architecture
Collaborative and teaming across multiple functions and diverse team settings
Sense of urgency, decisiveness, and ability to work well under pressure
Excellent interpersonal, ground-breaking leadership and communication skill (written and verbal)

Have program delivery leadership and oversee resources in specifying business architecture
Broad understanding of Technology Services, including service offerings, technical standards and policies, technical and business strategies as well as organizational structure
Ability to visualize and create high-level models that can be used in future analysis to extend and mature the business architecture
Partner in the planning process by providing input to scope definition of central initiatives demonstrating capability heatmaps to provide visibility to impacts, dependencies, overlaps and opportunities
To qualify for the role you must have
Minimum of over 7 years of experience with significant role in defining products or solution accelerator attributes to transform the business domain
Direct experience and accountability in the functional architecture of products, product portfolios or solution accelerator with at least $6m of investment, $3m if using cutting edge innovative technologies.
Have experience in analysing sophisticated scenarios through systems thinking identifying interdependencies of business and system workflows to optimize solutions and to enable speed-to-market
Good knowledge of cloud computing, data processing, big data analytics, AI, and awareness of technology trend with ability to articulate their relevance and potential value in business domains
Experience in client handling and communication with proven track record to creatively assist clients to overcome business challenges and achieve financial objectives
Ideally, you’ll also have
Demonstrate proven experience in one or more industries or sectors with knowledge on technology capabilities used in such sectors to solve problems and capitalize on new opportunities.
Certifications in the candidates’ dominant functional area are ideal.
Having knowledge of business domain, technology design, enterprise policies and market variables to offer solution options or challenge the status quo where appropriate.
Contributing material improvement ideas and developing full business cases
Professional experience in development and delivery via Agile framework using DevOps or enterprise tool involving multiple teams and product releases
Excellent written & verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to articulate ideas and present strategies at all organization levels
Excellent leadership with strong people skills and negotiation skills
