announces an opening for one full-time assistant professor position
at the Institute of Experimental Physics in the Department of Teaching Physics
research and teaching position, full-time)
Only for those who meet the requirements set out of Higher Education Act of July 20, 2018 (Journal of Laws No. 2018, Item 1668, with further amendments).
The candidate is expected to have :
PhD degree in physics,
documented predispositions for the research work (publications in journals from the list of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education) and academic teaching (conducting classes with high school students),
experience in teaching physics in the primary or secondary school,
experience in conducting trainings for the non-academic teachers,
fluency in Polish; good working knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
Additionally, the following are highly desirable :
the teaching post of appointed teacher (equivalent to the Polish degree of nauczyciel mianowany) or equivalent in other educational systems;
qualifications of the A Level examiner or equivalent;
participation in the educational projects co-financed by the EU
Responsibilities at the workplace :
conducting scientific research, publishing results of the work in scientific journals, active participation in scientific conferences, applying for research grants and research internships, participating in the implementation of research grants, reviewing scientific papers;
conducting classes, in particular in areas of didactics of physics and physics teaching, related to the physics teachers education process;
supervising master’s and bachelor’s theses in this area;
working in university collegiate bodies, recruitment and examination committees during the recruitment process, organizing and participating in university promotional campaigns.
