THE OPPORTUNITY :

The two main deliverables that make this role vital for the organization are :

  • Together with a professional and motivated team, support all the financial aspects of our 10 year business strategy (Best10) in the cluster
  • The ability to build, develop and together with team deliver financial strategies for Central Eastern Europe, Baltics & Balkans (CEEBB) markets aligned to regional priorities
  • ABOUT YOU

    Your ability to combine an advanced analytical approach and helicopter view that can simultaneously develop financial strategy and unfold granular details for profitable growth opportunity development will be key to deliver while in this position.

    Your thirst and potential for progressive challenges within the organization in leadership roles is essential as well as the ability to develop a high flying team of business partners.

    Responsibilities

    WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART, YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO : Drive results and excellence in execution

  • Ensure financial plans and investments are in line with market / cluster / regional priorities and financial objectives are properly cascaded and achieved.
  • Create contingency plans ( what if’’ and scenario analyses’) to ensure risk mitigation and the continued financial health of the Cluster.

  • Work on growth plans short term and long term - for the markets, building strong business cases, relevant to the strategy and the go-to-market set up in each market.
  • Analyse performance externally to win i.e. competitive benchmarking, identifying key drivers of performance and providing recommendations to management.
  • Provide financial support to local management to maximise the value of our sales and efficiency in our cost base, as well as maximizing the key balance sheet and cash flow drivers.
  • Provide financial and operational planning, forecasting and analysis / commentary at the market level to provide a financial perspective to the business planning process.
  • Ensure adequacy of controls, strong stewardship tone from the top and compliance. Ensure audits (internally and externally) are fully supported and action plans are being properly communicated and addressed.
  • Liaise with Global Tax and Treasury, as well as Global Business Services. Regular interactions with the Regional CFO, Regional Controller, and Internal Audit Team on any audit related issues.
  • Identify improvements in processes, guidelines, principles, and policies to ensure adequacy and compliance on audit related processes.

  • Prepare and submit management reports, ensuring integrity in interpretation and commentary provided.
  • Assist in developing business cases and strategies for new brands / product and new suppliers and work with stakeholders to achieve approval across the matrix.
  • Drive and lead finance transformation projects in respect to people, processes, and systems for the cluster.
  • Ensure SLA's (Service Level Agreements) with GBS are met and challenged when necessary. Drive local process improvement initiatives.
  • Change management Change agility - seeing change as an opportunity to improve upon complexities of current business processes.
  • Be a positive change agent that is challenging the status quo.

    Financial

  • Own cluster P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.
  • Produce consolidated monthly projections against forecast, plan, and prior periods
  • Analyse and interpret revenue, cost, margin, and ROI variances to identify performance drivers / improvement opportunities.
  • Focus on Cash and Working Capital improvement.
  • With Global Business Services (GBS) support, monitor and optimize Balance Sheet and Working Capital performance indicators
  • With GBS support, monitor local statutory accounting and reporting
  • With GBS support monitor local cash-flows and Balance Sheet movements
  • With Global Tax support, ensure full compliance with all local tax requirements and reporting
  • Skills and Experience

    THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY :

  • Experience of a commercial finance leadership role and proven track record of successful delivery of results in a matrix organization, managing multiple stakeholders in a complex environment
  • Experience in creating and leading multi-disciplined Finance teams as well as multi-function project teams, including virtual ones
  • Proven ability to steer financial performance of individual markets or clusters
  • Process focused with an understanding of end to end business processes and their financial impacts
  • Ability to identify root cause issues and develop plans to resolve
  • Skilled at organizing and prioritizing multiple projects and resource constraints to optimize results.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to senior leadership to influence and inform decision making
  • Possess In depth knowledge of financial processes and systems, and the implementation of effective internal controls
  • Ability to analyse financial information to understand the current situation and to determine and recommend strategic direction to management
  • Proven experience of introducing and managing changes to finance systems, procedures, and practices.
  • Understanding of strong compliance & controls, and how to develop appropriate guidelines
  • Confident and proficient in the use of key Finance systems, MS Office with advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to establish strong working relationships with colleagues from different functions and cultures
  • Qualified accountant ACCA, ACA, CPA, (or equivalent), or substantial relevant work experience
  • Fluency in English and ideally Polish
