  • The Systems Engineer understands the needs of the automotive customers and translates them into actionable requirements for the functional disciplines (mainly electrical and software).
  • Perform for Varroc Lighting products the requirements analysis and capturing in compliance with applicable automotive ASPICE standards.
  • Understand and document customer needs and requirements. Manage and negotiate customer requirements, change requests and unwritten expectations.
  • Lead technical meetings with Customer on requirements capture.
  • Develop the system requirements based upon and traced to the customer requirements.
  • Develop system architecture in an unambiguous, clear, and understandable way that electrical and software engineers know exactly what needs to be done to meet customer expectations.
  • Lead and moderate cross functional technical workshops including requirements reviews.
  • Support FUSA Manager to qualify FUSA goals.
  • Support quote teams by analyzing the customer specifications and documenting the quote assumptions in a quick and efficient way.
  • Ensure that project specific DFMEA reflects defined system architecture and system s functionality.
  • Support change management, baseline requirements and track changes. Report changes driven by the customer to the Project Leaders.
  • Works according to the VPDS and VEDS process, creates specifications and documentation. He is responsible for continually improving the VPDS and VEDS process.
  • In their work, they are guided by corporate standards and processes.

  • Works on other tasks given by supervisor if not in cotradiction with the original job description.
  • During the work, respects all rules given for Health and Safety protection, Fire protection and all internal rules and legislative norms.

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechatronic or equivalent EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT(S) :
  • 4+ years’ experience with system engineering in the automotive industry or other areas of automotive embedded ECU development and integration (HW, SW, Test)
  • Preferred practical experience and know-how in usage of PLM tools (e.g. IBM RTC, DOORS NG, Rhapsody, SYSML, UML )
  • Willingness to work independently but also to engage with the development team on a regular basis.
  • Knowledge of vehicle EE-Architectures, bus structures and formats.
  • Familiar with automotive Safety (ISO-26262) and Cyber Security (ISO-21434) norms.
  • Strong communication skills in visualization and verbal explanation.
  • Strong personality in Systems Engineering techniques to proactively close knowledge gaps (structured interview, systems archeology, observation and elicitation)
  • High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult.
  • Recognizable empathy, with team spirit and with high level of assertiveness. Very good work organization and autonomous / self-motivated work-attitude.
