Job Description and Requirements
Job Purpose and Mandate :
As Project Engineering Manager you will participate in the management of mixed-signal IP projects, writing specifications, reviewing planning, participating on design tasks as required and Synopsys’ design methodologies.
The successful candidate will work on a variety of management, documentation tasks and may also be involved in design and / or verification tasks, incorporating any of specification generation, RTL coding, testbench and testcase generation, STA, schematic design, layout, documentation, and prototype evaluation.
Duties may include any of the following :
Understand and assist in the generation of design specifications.
Participate and manage Mixed-Signal IP Projects
Create and maintain Project Planning
Participate in complex block and / or chip planning and architecture studies.
Generate testbenches and testcases.
May perform complex RTL or gate-level simulations of circuits and interpret the results
May perform logic synthesis and / or static timing analysis.
May perform mixed-mode simulations.
May perform schematic design and / or layout reviews
Documentation of functionality, code, verification environments / plans, and design procedures.
May participate in prototype evaluation using bench top laboratory instruments or automated test equipment.
May communicate (e-mail, fax, voice, meeting) with customers regarding technical issues.
Work toward improving efficiency in design procedures and methodologies.
Communicate effectively with other team members.
Write patents for any inventions.
Read technical papers and related material to keep abreast of industry progress.
Other related duties as assigned by the upper manager.
Requires a degree in Engineering or Applied Science (or equivalent) and 3-4 years working experience in a related field.
Familiarity with circuit design and design verification.
Familiarity with the development process for ASIC designs.
Familiarity with Project Management and Planning tasks
Familiarity with UNIX operating systems.
