We have now exciting opportunity has opened up for HSE Manager role in our Poznań, Poland factory. Reporting to the Plant Manager this role play a key part of the Site Leadership Team.
As HSE Manager at Mars, you would be responsible for driving our overall site safety agenda within our Factory in Poznań.
You would be responsible for defining, and leading any safety related activation, action plan or strategy. HSE Manager is a core member of the Plant Leadership Team.
He / she acts as a key partner to co-drive the overall site agenda with a dedicated focus to Safety.

Accountable for building the HSE roadmap
Co-create Regional HSE Agenda based on HSE priorities
Defining the HSE roadmap and develop HSE cultural mindset on both sites aligned with Global and Regional HSE Strategy
Deploy the HSE roadmap of the site
Provide leadership to HSE organization by managing directly the team od HSE proffecionals
Participate plant management team meetings
Will be responsible for building HSE Culture
On as need basis participate plant management team meetings
Ensure local performance, incident management and action closure reporting
Define and implement all relevant rules and procedures on HSE in line with global standards and local authorities
Ensure appropriate assessments, audit processes, compliance reports are in place and steer all relevant functions for both sites
Ensure local and legal compliance
Ensure reporting system is in place according to local, regional and global standards for both sites
Leading security relevant matters
Leading the environmental roadmap for given production site
Ideally, you’ll have had at least 3 years-experience in a leadership role, ideally within a food production or manufacturing industry.
You’ll also be confident in a factory environment, understand the inherent risks that come associated with that, and able to work quickly to mitigate those risks.
You’ll also be a believer in, and able to truly lead and influence without authority, bringing people along on a journey and able to empathise with everyone’s point of view;
ideally having led a small team previously
Higher education in professional field is required (valid qualification in occupational health and safety)
Proven of at least 3 years professional experience in a similar position in a production company
Previous experience in managing Team and developing individuals will be crutial
Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines
Experience in developing HSE strategies
Ability to create and maintain reports and develop relevant policies
Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work amongst a wide variety of functions and management levels
Very good knowledge of English is obligatory
Change management, problem-solving, continuous improvement mindset
Ability to share knowledge and work under time pressure
