The Recovery and Resolution Office (RRO) is a department within Treasury which drives Credit Suisse’s preparations (the Recovery and Resolution Plan RRP) to manage a severe financial crisis (both in going and gone concern at which point the home regulator has taken charge of the bank) and advises on strategic changes made in response to Too Big to Fail throughout the firm.
We have offices in Zurich, London, New York, Singapore and Wroclaw.The RRP is currently a significant focus for the bank.
Whilst international regulators have agreed on high level concepts to take care of Too Big to Fail , the focus now is on refining the concepts and operationalization.In this role you will :
Oversee the bank’s Group recovery planning requirements, currently an annual submission but moving to a more dynamic, capability-led process
Liaise with stakeholders in Finance, Risk and the business to update the plan on time, and review and challenge their contributions;
Ensure all appropriate governance is adhered to including sign off from the Board;
Pursue efforts to embed the recovery plan in the bank’s risk framework in collaboration with Risk;
Contribute to the development of a comprehensive and integrated approach to handle financial stress at the bank and execute remedial actions;
Stay abreast of best practice in recovery planning in particular as it pertains to applicable regulatory guidance;
Contribute, review and challenge the various initiatives the bank engages in to improve financial resolvability. Current ongoing projects include Funding in resolution, Valuation in resolution and regional efforts as part of the UK, US and Swiss domestic resolution plans.
Support efforts to embed RRP in the firm and move to business as usual

You hold Bachelor’s or Master's Degree
You have minimum 5 7 years of relevant experience in Financial Services or banking coverage in an auxiliary service (law, consultancy)
You are Self-starter with the ability to operate independently
You have solid understanding of a major bank’s functions, particularly the treasury function and drivers of capital and liquidity
You have strong stakeholder management skills on senior management level combined with excellent communication and presentation skills
You are innovative and imaginative person, with capacity for fresh ideas
You have proven writing / editing skills
You have excellent qualitative and quantitative analytical abilities combined with attention to details
You are a dedicated problem solver with a positive, empathetic personality and can-do attitude who loves to handle multiple challenging priorities and assignments
