Software Support Engineer

Your new company

The organisation is a part of multinational group of small companies ( 50 total employees). It has been established as a "business intelligence partner" for all group companies and as well as for other 3rd party clients.

The scope of operated industries : consulting services, investment, international trading, renewable energy, real estate, etc.

Your new role

You will be a part of developing internal IT department (2 persons so far - IT Administrator and IT Manager) engaged in further company digitalisation.

Projects : the nearest project planned - ERP system implementation.

Applications used : Sharepoint, Office 365, HR System, etc.

Responsibilities :

  • provide engineering expertise to troubleshoot, modify and engineer software solutions and configurations to ensure the product / solution performs within optimal design specifications
  • Contribute to meeting the SLAs and KPIs as applicable for the account and unit - for example, responsiveness, resolution, software quality, etc
  • Communicate with internal / external customers to enhance the understanding of customer problems and verify that an appropriate resolution has been applied
  • Investigate, diagnose, and solve incidents in SharePoint and ERP environment
  • Actively monitor systems during business hours using a state-of-the-art monitoring approach
  • Help, define and constantly improve the incident management and prevention processes
  • Maintain application support technical documentation
  • What you'll need to succeed

  • Min. two years’ experience with SQL and knowledge of at least one programming language (Microsoft solutions are preferred)
  • Min. two years of experience being on-call and managing incidents
  • Experience with a scripting language, coupled with related automation projects, at least one or more of the following : Bash, Python, NodeJS, Ruby, or PHP
  • Experience with modern web application and enterprise application development platforms
  • Developing workflow processes
  • Experience with reporting tools
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good understanding of priorities, and 100% respect for deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Polish
  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent
  • Nice to have :

  • Familiarity with open-source software, commercial cloud platforms and associated tools (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.), building, packaging, and scaling is a plus
  • Professional database, cloud or other software related certifications are preferred
  • Experience on BI tools, Power BI is a plus
