AML mitigates money laundering and terrorist financing risks for Citi and its customers in the global marketplace. It uses skilled analysts, state-
of-the-art technology and globally standard policies and procedures to ensure effective monitoring and reporting of suspicious activities.
Global AML Scenario Management and Validation (SMV) Independent Validation (IV) Operations team has the responsibility of IV organization’s planning and executing critical global IV Consent Order Program;
strengthening execution, prioritization and measurement of results across IV’s Book of Work; delivering on-time quality projects to meet regulatory and audit obligations.
Specifically, this role focuses on maintaining and improving governance across the key areas of IV team. This role requires interaction with the key stakeholders within the AML ecosystem.
The position also requires flexibility to be able to provide rapid support on urgent and high visibility tasks important to senior management.
Lead a team managing regulatory, strategic, BAU and productivity activities for AML in Americas, EMEA, and APAC and :
Direct the scoping, resourcing, budgeting and organization of IV program and manage their alignment to CitiAML and SMV’s goals
Interface with partners and senior stakeholders to ensure that the end-to-end impacts of the changes being implemented as part of the IV program are understood, resourced and prioritized.
Direct execution of the IV program and drive adherence to SMV’s methodology and all Citi policies and controls.
Regularly review program dependencies, risks and issues which might jeopardize successful execution of the programs and champion development of appropriate mitigation strategies.
Drive timely, accurate and precise communication of status, issue, and risks to senior stakeholders at regional and global level.
Interface with Internal Audit and Compliance Testing to facilitate reviews and validation of the IV Program deliverables.
Interface with the regulators as and when required.
8-10 years’ experience in program management during which s / he applied a structured approach (methodology) to project management, planning, estimating, monitoring and reporting
8-10 years experience in successfully managing complex strategic projects, from conception through rollout and ongoing support, or equivalent with major consultancy firm
3 years plus experience in managing people
3 year plus experience in communication and change management
Full professional proficiency in English language
Proven problem solver, self-motivated, results-oriented, and ability to multi-task in a fast moving environment with different functional areas to get the job done
Preferred experience in Financial Industry or consulting especially in the program management space
Knowledge of AML or shared services areas will be a plus
