Job Description Summary

Assists the project planning, development testing, and release of new products and product enhancements. Follows established and defined processes and procedures to complete basic projects and solve problems of limited scope.

Job Description

  • Helps make changes to existing products.
  • Compiles and organizes information about manufacturing processes, potential new products and improvements to existing products.
  • Manages and track engineering changes approvals processes.
  • Creates BOM structures in PLM and Cost Request systems.
  • Leads service parts release process.
  • Modifies designs, under supervision, to maximize production efficiency and product quality.
  • Assists in the development of specifications for new products and makes revisions to existing products.
  • Compiles and organizes test results and corrects design flaws as needed.
  • Helps in creating and maintaining Design Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (DFMEA)
  • Apply under supervision the fundamentals Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances(GD&T) to the product drawings
  • Helps in developing and maintaining a product validation test plan (DVP&R)
  • Assist in managing prototype part build requirements, logistics and shipments
  • Assist in managing an engineering release program
  • Helps managing APQP requirements for product engineering
  • Ability to work with a variety of global suppliers to insure parts conformance to engineering specifications
  • Perform manual engineering calculations (simple dimensional stack-ups)
  • Ability to work with a variety of global customers
  • Required Skills and Education

    Required :

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
  • Advanced computer user
  • English fluency (spoken and written), including technical language
  • software : Excel, Power Point
  • Preferred :

  • German basic
  • CAD system capable at basic level (PRO-E, CATIA V5, UG, ETC )
  • Minitab
