Our Advanced Suspension Technologies Business is looking a MET Engineer to join our team at Poland area.
You will insert role’s mission / main objective
The MET Engineer is part of the NTI-group (New Technology Introduction) within a larger MET-department (Manufacturing Engineering and Technology) which supports the development and introduction of new generic’ validated products in a cross-functional team.
Required Skills
Explore the production processes market (worldwide) for new technologies for possible use within Tenneco through feasibility studies, initial sample production (mainly externally suppliers) and collect / provide data & reports to develop capable processes / product developments and introductions or improve current processes / product protofolio available within Tenneco.
Create / collect reports & documents to create Process Technology Roadmaps in cooperation with the CCT-group within MET to facilitate process-standardisation or product-standardisation projects across different plants, including PFMEA (generic) / SPC-reports / CCT-documentation.
Performs Benchmarking (internal & external) activities to define best practices or potential new development areas within process or product realization.
Support the NTI-cross functional team in providing inputs and this in the different TRL 1 phases of an NTI-project related to : ü DFM / DFA activities ü Manufacturing Cost & Investment overview ü Potential Sourcing Strategies / Make vs Buy Strategies including VAVE activity analysis.
Act as CCT-Engineer for newly introduced processes during the first phases of introduction and transfer knowledge to the CCT-group / Plants when the process is matured and ready to be implemented on a larger scale
Required Experience
Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanics or Electro Mechanics) with knowledge related to materials / machine development / machine controls
3 to 5 years of industrial experience preferably within a process R&D / innovation environment
Fluent in English, basic knowledge of German - knowledge of other languages is an advantage
Analytical skills , quickly mastering complex matters in his scope without jumping to conclusions, results oriented
Knowledge of latest process technologies (as laserwelding / 3D printing / Adhesive Bonding / Injection Moulding / ) Knowledge of DOE, FMEA (Plato), SPC preferably 6Sigma Green Belt Knowledge of CAD-software (Catia / Autocad / Inventor / )
Good knowledge MS-office package (Outlook / Sharepoint / Word / Excel / Powerpoint / Project / Visio / )
Ability to travel frequently
Works independent, but is also a team player
