The ECC Regional Network Platform Lead holds overall responsibility for overseeing and delivery of the Service Monitoring as well as Level 1 functions for Network platform.

The Platform Manager acts as a liaison between Network Build, Network Core Infrastructure Services, Security Operations Center and Global Command Center teams to ensure that global standards are implemented and followed.

This individual interfaces with senior managers providing technical insight to identify operational efficiencies and improvements in Network area.

To ensure standardization amongst the Command Centers, this position will cooperate with Global Platform Manager to implement new and existing processes to Global Command Center staff across all GCC sites.

This is also a staff management role which includes development, reviews, compensation, interviews / hiring, and all associated HR functions.

This individual will report directly to the Global Platform Manager and Duty Manager.

Functional Role & Responsibilities :

  • Core function : Owns all Command Center operations functions for Network platform for Citi Technology Infrastructure during operations hours.
  • This covers the operational support of Service Monitoring and Level 1 support

  • Audit and Risk Management : Manage Regional regulatory compliance requirements for all GCC Network Platform, act as primary interface for all audits of the support functions.
  • Develop COB plans and ensure effective controls are in place to mitigate all important risk

  • Financial Management : Management of a budget with accountability for space planning, staffing, technology capital and maintenance contracts.
  • Meet productivity tasks and self-identify opportunities.

  • Service Management : Acts as a single global escalation point for Network platform during command and control hours.
  • Staff Management : Manage all staffing requirements for an organization of 100+ staff members globally. This includes headcount management, recruiting, hiring, discipline, performance management and development.
  • General Characteristics :

  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills. This role will interact with Senior Business and TI management as well as highly technical engineers.
  • This role will be expected to take ownership and responsibility for managing the operational staff and will be expected to display necessary authority when dealing with all parties.
  • Strong negotiation / conflict management skills. This role will co-ordinate and manage conference calls involving multiple technical teams including those from 3rd parties and vendors.
  • Ability to work in a high volume, pressurized, financial organization. The role will be expected to make executive decisions whilst under pressure.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced network operations environment.
  • Must be able to logically evaluate technical problems and make decisions on how a solution is to be performed, whilst liaising with both technical and non-technical personnel and different levels of expertise and management.
  • Organized and methodical, ability to multi task, with good time keeping skills.
  • Dynamic, enthusiastic, confident, reliable team member.
  • Proactive and flexible in terms of workload and providing cover is essential, due to the nature of the environment and workload.
  • Must exhibit sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills to exchange complex information with inherent confidence.
  • Strong personal work ethic that inspires excellence and enthusiasm amongst peer group.
  • Ability and willingness to operate within tightly controlled operational procedures.
  • Demonstrated technical competencies and history of increased responsibilities during previous three years. Preferably in network area.
  • Strong dedication towards continual growth and self-improvement including year-over-year progression in industry certifications and overall technical proficiencies and knowledge base.
  • Qualifications :

  • 5 years of experience in a Technology Infrastructure role with people management experience
  • Project management experience
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audience
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective analytics skills
  • Ability to partner with virtual and in-person teams, define goals to a team, and work under pressure or to a deadline
  • Bachelor’s / University degree, Master’s degree preferred
