We are currently looking for a Technical Service Engineer TAC-3 (Technical Assistance Center Level 3). In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the technical expertise necessary for the support and the education for the Timing & Synchronization and Ethernet products to ADVA internal and external customers.

Principle duties and essential functions

On-site and remote support (telephone support out of business hours in case of escalation)

Act, as a key interface between R&D and the Technical Service teams

Assist customers on type approvals and homologation processes for newly introduced products.

Introduce new product releases to the Technical Service teams and other customers

Create knowledge base articles and technical service documentation to educate and help Technical Service teams and customers

Provide internal technical training on the ADVA products and technologies

Knowledge, skills, and experience required

Experience in Technical Support or another technical service-related department in the telecom business sector

Good technical background in of Carrier-class Ethernet technologies

Technical background in fiber optics, LAN's, synchronization, and IP (including routing protocols)

Cisco CCNA / MEF CECP or equivalent knowledge would be a plus

Ability to quickly learn and implement new technologies

Technical Degree in Electronics or Telecommunication

Excellent presentation and communication skills

Prepared to do flexible working hours

Customer-friendly attitude and very good interpersonal skills (in verbal and written communication)

Fluent in the English language

Prepared to travel
