Supplier Quality Engineering is a fast paced and challenging environment that is ever changing. This internship is an exciting opportunity to work in the field at DTNA!
Special Project - of working on a "back to the basics" module which will outline all of the functions that Supplier Quality Engineers endure and execute.
Special Project - to implement a new process for system compliance.
Work with the suppliers to ensure supplier performance is regularly reported and learn how corrective actions are implemented.
Document activities related to investigation, disposition and resolution to quality complaints.
Assist in conducting supplier audits to confirm product conformity, or drive process standardization, waste elimination, and continuous improvement.
Monitor, communicate and improve key supply chain KPI’s, including DPPM, Quality Complaints, and capacity to support OTS (On Time Ship) compliance.
Support effort to establish specific short / long-term supplier quality goals.
Problem solving and root cause analysis activities with suppliers and customers to eliminate recurrence of non-conformances.
Update supplier audit system and schedule.
Minimum Junior level in a Bachelor's Program or higher (or have graduated within the past 12 months) required
GPA of 3.0 or higher required
An attached resume is required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
Full time availability onsite from February 2019 through August 2019 required
Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Business Management, Manufacturing
Project management experience preferred
Statistical process control experience preferred
Knowledge of a foreign language preferred
Analytical thinking preferred
Six Sigma knowledge preferred
Knowledge of Quality Systems preferred
Knowledge of Manufacturing Process preferred
