We're looking for a talented Scala developer who will be responsible for building complex APIs and back-end logic. This position is perfect for a skilled developer who is looking for a new and exciting challenge, to work with other talented developers and grow their career. What You'll Be Doing

Build an API around a new datasource using Scala and functional programming patterns.

Work on highly scalable services processing millions of requests / jobs per day.

Build sophisticated features and functionality.

Integrate multiple data sources into one system.

Who You Are (Experience & Skills)

Experience in large scale distributed systems and event-driven architectures.

Experience in Scala programming (especially with Cats library).

Strong in OOP & functional paradigm.

Solid foundation in computer science with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.

Demonstrated ability to understand the business and ability to contribute to technology direction that gives to measurable business improvements.

Bonus Points

Experience with big data solutions such as Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive, Pig, Kafka, Storm etc.
