Responsible for all purchasing activities in the local plant relating to a group of direct components,
Build a network of contacts within the BorgWarner purchasing community and harness the skills and knowledge of this group so that company can benefit through the strength of the BorgWarner Group purchasing expertise,
Responsible for change management process in line with automotive standards,
Responsible for program uplift capacity installation at suppliers and rump up coordination,
Negotiates complex and or critical supplier agreements in line with existing strategies,
Research and investigate supply sources for the Turbo Systems business,
Identify potential suppliers for the current and future programs and work in conjunction with Engineering and Supplier Quality to approve and develop these sources of supply and their capabilities to supply parts to the Global BorgWarner facilities,
Identify cost down opportunities and find alternative suppliers of components for products,
Scope of position will include a wide range of difficult problems with tight timing for applying resolution,
Follows established procedures and best practices.
Master's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Procurement or Supply Chain Management,
3 plus years buyer’s experience, including negotiations, experience in project purchasing would be an asset,
Must be a team-player with strong interpersonal and technical skills,
Experience in cost analysis or price breakdowns,
Automotive experience and industry knowledge preferred,
Fluent in English,
Ability to gather and organize data for decision making purpose,
Driven by innate work ethic and desire to succeed,

Must be able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment with the ability to work cross-functionally.
