The Delivery Leader (service management area)

The Delivery Leader (service management area) serves Volvo Financial Services with IT delivery supporting business activities by managing the run time services according to business agreed SLA.

The Delivery Leader is responsible for the defined deliveries according to agreed estimations on cost, time and quality.

The Delivery Leader is responsible for team and culture development to secure proper capacity and capability for its delivery.

The Delivery Leader also supports the Delivery Manager to identify competence and development needs, develop team member’s skills and plan time for individual training, cross training within the team and knowledge sharing.

The Delivery Leader is highly involved in the operational work. It is recommended to have good knowledge and experience in relevant IT domain and / or in the business solution process.

Job Context

The Delivery Leader, Service Management area to the Delivery Manager who has the overall responsibility for the Solution delivery.

Terms, conditions and commitments for deliveries are established, documented and formally introduced or delegated to the Delivery Leader IT by the Delivery Manager.

The Delivery Leader collaborates with the Solution Leader on business aspects of the daily delivery.

The Delivery Leader manages a team, external suppliers and other partners that works with IT related changes, support and maintenance activities.

The Delivery Leader delivers service to Volvo Financial Services related to Price Manager global application and supporting solutions.

Responsibilities :

  • Have a thorough understanding of, and commitment to, delivering business value,
  • Secure overall functionality and life cycle planning of the service portfolio,
  • Lead a team of specialist supporting assigned solutions,
  • Meet agreed customer expectations on the services for assigned solution, in line with decided directives and frameworks,
  • Secure Operational Level Agreements or underpinning contracts with external partners,
  • Cooperate with business and IT stakeholders and partners,
  • Analyze, improve, review and report service performance against the SLAs and agreed KPIs,
  • Ensure communication / collection / sharing relevant information with stakeholders, team members, and partners in a systematic way, including securing customer demands are understood,
  • Increase quality and efficiency in delivery by continuous improvements,
  • Conduct in agreed time-frame reviews of the entire Service process, negotiates, agrees and controls any amendments necessary within the agreed budget,
  • Secure work prioritization and distribution within the team and coordinate team’s activities,
  • Organizes and maintains the regular Service Level review process with stakeholders :
  • Be updated of development projects needs within the service portfolio scope,
  • Define needs for handover of product changes for maintenance and actively take part in hand-over activities,
  • Responsible for validation of production changes (in Change and Release Management),
  • Responsible for making the budget / forecasts for the maintenance assignment, including application infrastructure, licenses and operations costs,
  • Establish guidelines and work instructions for Service area,
  • Expand horizontal knowledge in the area of responsibility.
  • Qualifications :

  • Proven working experience with Service Delivery,
  • Proven experience in working in a multi country and culture environment,
  • Proven experience in working with off-site stakeholders,
  • Proven leadership skills in leader positions,
  • Eager to learn quickly, able to follow procedures (and tools) and provide excellent support,
  • English language : excellent in writing and speaking,
  • Knowledge of Captive Finance is an extra asset,
  • Commercial transport OEM Domain Knowledge is an extra asset,
  • Ready to travel occasionally
