Process & Systems Improvement Lead

This is a unique opportunity to be part of our European Planning & Forecasting Hub in Warsaw. As a Process & Systems Improvement Lead you will be responsible for ensuring world class P&F processes in the Hub balancing cost, quality and customer experience.

You will also support Finance Transformation Initiatives in the P&F area.

The role will require process and system expertise with a good level understanding of the end to end process to drive effective and efficient services to the Finance and Commercial Businesses.

During the Finance Operating Model Implementation phase the Process Improvement Lead will have a key role to ensure the successful transition of the new standardised Operating Model, underpinned by robust knowledge transfer & training plans leading to well-

trained teams within the P&F Hub.

Post transition, the key responsibilities will focus on process and systems improvements as described below.

How you will contribute to our success :

  • Implement the standardisation and global ways working in conjunction with the other P&F regional Hubs and Global teams.
  • Identify and Promote best practice and drive compliance to standard practices across the P&F Hubs

  • Act as the System Expert, trainer and the key contact for the Competency centres, Reporting Centre of Excellence and Global Process Owner team.
  • Build in depth P&F process & system knowledge to support the regional Hub teams on issue resolution, including identification of workarounds to mitigate impact and agreeing right level of escalation to the global process and system teams.
  • Identify and Promote best practice and drive compliance to standard practices across the P&F Hubs.
  • Escalate process and systems exceptions and ongoing systems issues to P&F Director, Regional Team and GPO.
  • Feed into P&F GSK Strategy.
  • Basic Qualifications :

  • University degree in Business Administration or Finance,
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience especially strong in Budgeting, forecasting and reporting
  • Ability to interpret and present financial data
  • Strong interpersonal skills - can work alongside and gain the trust and respect of stakeholders at all levels of seniority
  • Previous experience of working with Finance ERP Systems
  • Experience of working in a Shared Service Environment and experience working with virtual / remote teams
  • Experience in working in a corporate environment
  • FMCG / Pharmaceutical industry experience would be a bonus
  • Solid analytical Skills
  • Advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills - ability to manipulate and draw trends from large amounts of data
  • Ability to identify & resolve problems
  • Self-motivated and display of initiative in solving problems
  • Disciplined, robust organisation skills, ability to plan & manage workload
  • Actively seek to improve process making them more effective & efficient
  • Strong Influencing skills
  • Strong spoken and written English (English Level : C1)
  • Deploying continuous improvement initiatives to drive process simplification and efficiencies
  • Excellent understanding of I.T systems that are used in the planning & forecasting cycles with the ability to develop users in the team
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience of working on a Process or Technology improvement projects
  • Understand what the key drivers in changes to the plan & forecast are
  • Experience as Super User or Subject Matter Expert
  • Knowledge of SAP would be an asset
