Within IT, the EDI group has responsibility for approximately 300 customers partnerships, including the vital electronic orders and invoicing for our largest global and most strategic customers.
It is the EDI teams responsibility is to work with our internal and external partners to provide sustainable, robust, scalable best in class EDI solutions and integrations, delivering high value to the Wella Company.
We are looking for an IT EDI Manager that will join the Wella IT Delivery Team, to champion, help drive and be responsible for the global EDI systems and processes within Wella.
The role will be focused on the daily activities and the strategic direction of the EDI team.
This will include the management of EDI service partners and our technical teams. The role will be responsible for delivering both support to the global organization, and projects to drive adoption, establish new customer relationships and evolve existing EDI partnerships.
The role will be accountable, in conjunction with the business teams, for the prioritisation of the technical projects. The role will be instrumental in key investment decisions and future operational models which prioritise current operational demands, opportunities, and disruptions with the longer-term strategic Wella Company IT vision.
Leadership of the EDI team, including EDI solution partners, and technical team
Liaison between IT, business teams and external parties for global EDI
Demonstrate significant innovation and thought leadership across all EDI / electronic trading technologies
Responsible for design and architecture of the EDI solutions ensuring they are both robust and scalable
Work within the wider IT framework to further develop, and improve the EDI operations
Identify opportunities for enhancement and broaden the EDI implementations where appropriate to ensure best return on investment in our EDI systems
Ensure excellent customer support to both the global business teams within Supply Chain, logistics, finance, and to the external customers of the Wella company
Through analysis and regular monitoring identify and eliminate issues from our EDI operation
Ensure compliance with IT governance and change management
lead on EDI project and programme work, ensuring delivery is done in an optimal way
Make sure we’re adopting the best ways of working and solutions available to, which are fit for the future
Collaborate and form relationships with other teams within technology, understanding business requirements
Keep up to date, and provide insight to the business, on innovation and updates within EDI and related SAP platforms
Solid experience in an EDI role, ideally within an SAP technical environment
Full experience of EDI Partner management, connectivity methods, certificate management, and messages of all types (particularly orders, order response, despatch advice and invoicing) within a large FMCG or similar branded goods and distribution environment.
Experience of managing Experience of EDI middleware platforms, mapping and connectivity platforms, experience of Information Builders iWay platform is desirable.
Fluent in English. Other European language skills are desirable
Educated to a Degree with major in IT, computer science or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Results oriented with the ability to maintain focus on objectives in a multi-task demanding environment.
Excellent problem solving and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as a part of the team
Worked on large scale EDI projects with SAP, including complex integrations
Good relationship building and communication skills and the ability to influence a variety of people across the business
