Commercial Manager (M / F / D)

We are currently looking for a highly motivated Commercial Manager (M / F / D) to join our Finance team in Germany or in Gdynia, Poland .

Principle duties and essential functions

As a Commercial Manager you will be a key point of contact for the Sales and Sales Operations organizations regarding order and opportunity management, contract management, contract compliance and business case support.

Developing and analyzing business cases and customer projects and acting as sparring partner to Sales management to ensure sales’ and corporate objectives are well balanced and considered are the main parts of your responsibility.

In addition, the position includes contractual tasks like drafting, reviewing, advising on, negotiating, revising and executing contracts with regards to the sale of products and / or services.

Other tasks and responsibilities

Be a point of contact for all commercial issues and all new / existing agreements within the Sales organization

Participation in contract negotiations including reviewing, analyzing, negotiating, archiving and updating documents and coordination with Sales, Finance / Legal and all operational departments

Calculation of customer projects / business cases and further support on pricing / bidding like creating price lists and creating e-auction tools via excel

Managing approvals for projects outside standard pricing / discount policy

Running customer credit checks via the credit management tool and advise on credit limits

Ensure that contracts are properly distributed within the company and periodically reviewed

Supporting quarterly revenue forecasts in close cooperation with Accounting, Global Sales Controller, and Global Sales Operations

Knowledge, skills and experience required

University degree in Finance, Legal or Business Administration

Experience in working in a Commercial, Contracting or Finance environment

Excellent negotiation and communication skills

Team player and hands-on mentality

Very good analytical skills and strong customer focus

Basic understanding of accounting standards (e.g. IFRS) and good knowledge of SAP and Salesforce are beneficial

Excellent knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel and Word

Fluent in English and German

Willingness to travel globally
