Bid Manager

for our location in Katowice , Poland

In this role you will prepare offers for tasks / tenders related to the modernization of rail traffic control devices together with accompanying industries telecommunications, energy, monitoring, etc.

subcontracted to specialised companies.

Responsibilities

  • Appointing, coordinating activities and organizing meetings of the Bid Team,
  • Obtaining from the Functions, data necessary to prepare the winning offer (LoM, man-hours, ODC, etc.)
  • Coordinating the process of calculating the offer costs or preparing the simplified offer calculation
  • Preparation and presentation of documents required to obtain the corporation's approval to submit an offer, in accordance with the Bid Procedure
  • Obtaining the offers from subcontractors / suppliers
  • Cooperation with the Legal Department in submitting appeals to the National Appeal Chamber
  • Cooperation in the preparation by Functions and sending questions to the Customer regarding the Tender Requirements
  • Tracking publication of information about the task by the Customer and sending them to the members of the Bid Team
  • Preparation of formal documents constituting the offer for the Customer
  • Submission of offers using a dedicated electronic platform
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge and / or experience in the field of Bids, Bid Controlling, Project Management, Project Engineering together with knowledge in the Public Procurement Law and the railway market will be an advantage.
  • Experience in cross functional bids, able to deliver bids that will be a C or D project to quality, time and cost
  • Good technical understanding of complex technical systems and products.
  • Good knowledge of financial processes in long term projects.
  • Knowledge of job specific tools (MS Office, DOORS, Primavera) is an advantage.
  • Ability to work in a team, openness and communication skills are highly required
  • Analytical skills and the ability to solve problems, good organization of work on several projects at the same time.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to a dynamic business environment.
  • English language at an advanced level is required
