About the vacancy

Our client is an e-commerce company headquartered in Russia. The company is quickly evolving; DataArt’s specialists are helping them transfer their current IT solutions to a microservices architecture.

We are seeking a Senior MS SQL Engineer to join our team. The candidate will improve the existing solution and help implement the new infrastructure.

Stack for this project includes .NET and MS SQL.


  • Design, implement, and work on stored processes and functions using T-SQL for high-load OLTP environment
  • Access current SQL queries to improve performance in Query Store
  • Come up with new queries
  • Must have

  • Excellent knowledge of T-SQL
  • Proficiency with query and index tuning, ability to analyze execution strategy
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including the 2019 one
  • Working knowledge of large SQL statements optimization
  • Familiarity with table partitioning, memory optimized tables, columnstore indexes, and native-compiled procedures
  • Understanding of best practices in dealing with relational databases
  • Spoken English
