Job Description
Project manager required to handle projects within a multinational, project management focused design team. The Project Manager will be responsible for successfully planning, controlling and managing project deliverables to ensure that customer needs are met from order receipt through to final acceptance and manage the efforts of team members and third-party vendors.
Serves as liaison between the company and the client during a project ending with the installation and acceptance of capitalized equipment, enterprise software systems, or system integration or consulting projects / engagements.
May work at client site on a day-to-day or periodic basis. Ensures customer satisfaction of information technology solutions by managing the details of overall project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
Typically uses more project management skills than technical skills. Services may be provided on a fee-for-service basis or be included as part of the purchase price for company products.
Usually involves extensive interaction with sales, systems engineering, product development, and other members of cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products to clients.
Plans and directs schedules and may monitor budget / spending. Monitors the project from initiation through delivery. Organizes the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project / product on schedule and within budget constraints.
Principal duties and responsibilities :
Functional
Performs all aspects of project management functions.
Manages execution of assigned projects within margin targets and customer schedules.
Manages and reports all resource demand and financial aspects of assigned projects.
Applies complex and advanced project management and scheduling techniques.
May participate in development of business team strategic plan.
Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial plants, ships, etc.
Business
Acts as Rockwell Automation representative for assigned projects.
Complete responsibility for successful outcome of projects. Manages single projects or a multiple project portfolio of up to 10 projects.
Manage subcontracts that include labour and / or fixed price Third Party deliverables.
Responsible for meeting project schedule, margin, and customer satisfaction targets.
Contributes to partnerships at the business management level of key customers.
Deliver projects to the quality standards and constraints dictated by the business and the customer’s industry.
Prepares & Negotiates Variation Orders with customer representatives.
Ensures that all project administration is completed and project files are maintained.
Able to assist in the preparation and presentation of quotes, sales proposals, and contracts to the customer in compliance with company policies and standards, obtaining the appropriated approvals.
Responsible for following all applicable corporate, company, governmental and regulatory policies and procedures as appropriate for this position.
Leadership
Leads efforts of project personnel on complex projects.
Coaches and mentors less-experienced engineers assigned to projects.
Leads project teams typically employing up to 10 engineering professionals and coordinates activities with support teams and other capabilities.
May lead internal project process improvement efforts.

Qualifications :
Ideally four - five years or more of proven documented project management experience
Local language skills, plus good command of English and German both verbal and written.
Ideally Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent knowledge; further education in business administration, operations, or project management is a plus, i.
e.; PM 800 Certification.
Applicant should be a self-starter, able to work through problems, and make decisions with minimal guidance;
Proficiency in utilizing MS Office software products with a focus on MS Excel, MS Visio, MS SharePoint, MS Teams;
Conversant with MS Project and all MS software products Excel, Word, etc
Familiar with PMI and iPM standards
Experience with financial budgeting is an advantage
