The IT Security Operations Junior Specialist is responsible for administering user security access and the day-to-day operations of the enterprise security information systems and infrastructure to provide protection to information assets in accordance with O-

I policies, procedures and SLAs. This position will also support the monitoring of IT controls environment at O-I by collaboration with the IT Risk and Compliance organization.

The IT Security Operations Junior Specialist is expected to be aware of O-I’s security goals as established by its stated policies, procedures and guidelines and to actively work towards upholding those goals.

This position is expected to follow rigorous processes to grant, modify, and terminate user access for both internal and external end users.

  • Collaborating with other global IT operational support groups, both locally and globally
  • Maintaining awareness and commitment to employment and legislative responsibilities in relation to workplace safety, discrimination, HR policies, quality and the environment
  • Assisting in the communication to the business
  • Administering user access to O-I’s IT systems in compliance with O-I policies and processes and statutory requirements, including Sarbanes-Oxley
  • Following documented procedures and retain necessary audit documentation
  • Supporting the response to security incidents and events
  • Assisting in IT compliance activities such as : Periodic user access reviews, termination validation procedures
  • Supporting managing system security protection (anti-virus, malware protection, firewall)
  • Assisting in the independent vulnerability assessment
  • Complying with O-I’s policies related to Information Security and Network Access
  • Documenting new processes and process changes related to on-boarding / off-boarding and commissioning and decommissioning
  • Resolving Faults / Incidents according to SLA
  • Completing Service Requests according to SLA
  • Reporting weekly support and service activity to the IT Security Operations Senior Specialist
  • Following all local and global policies and procedures
  • Supporting global applications access
  • Supporting global file share service
  • Looking for opportunities to simplify and automate service requests
  • Liaising with other support teams to simplify and standardize O-I IT processes and standards
  • Escalating to 3rd level support on technical issues when necessary
  • All other duties as assigned

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in information technology or related discipline
  • One year of experience working in Information Technology
  • One year of working in system administration or IT security administration
  • ITIL Foundations certified and working knowledge of ITIL processes
  • Basic knowledge of MS Active Directory and Windows services
  • Understanding of Active Directory Group Policies configuration
  • Elementary knowledge on cloud-based Identity and Access Management services, specially OKTA
  • Understanding of industry’s security and controls frameworks and leading practices
  • Effectively operate with global teams
  • Organized, responsive and highly thorough problem solver
  • Detail oriented
  • Self-starter and strong collaboration skills
  • Experience in effective communication with customers, employees and management
  • Have high integrity and be able to maintain confidentiality of work performed
  • Must be able to communicate in English both written and verbal
