About the role :
As a Software Engineer in Customer Engineering team, you will be responsible for solving complex problems in customer environments and work with customers to provide advanced technical support.
You are expected to have the right problem-solving, customer facing, troubleshooting skills.
What we look for / Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited University. Master’s degree a bonus
Passion for technology & learning. Desire to work on cutting edge technology and ability to absorb a wide variety of technologies
You have experience with Object Oriented Programming with a language like Python, C# or Java (preferred). Any exposure to the ecosystem around Java - Spring or J2EE would be very beneficial.
You have a working knowledge of Unix & Linux environments
You have a working exposure to any one of the Relational Databases like Mysql, Oracle, Postgresql, IBM DB2
You have a working exposure to web development
You can get creative when the answer is not obvious
Strong communication skills
Strong analytical skills and the ability to pay careful attention to detail
You can demonstrate strong research, problem solving and authoritative troubleshooting skills
What You’ll Do
You will support AppDynamics customers by solving their critical real time issues.
Come up with a reference implementations in Java based technologies / frameworks using your developer brain to replicate customer scenarios and work towards to deliver a solution for customer problems.
You will advocate for our customers to our Product Organization by providing feedback on feature requests and bugs which could improve the customer experience of the AppDynamics platform.
You will connect with cross teams (ENGG, QE, PM..) to resolve raised customer issues.
You will level up your skill set through additional trainings and exposure to other programming languages featured in the APM product.
Having a working experience on Dockers, Kubernetes, Microservices is a bonus
Exposure to NoSQL databases like Redis, HBase, Cassandra is a bonus
Exposure to Application Servers like Weblogic, JBoss, Jetty, Tomcat
Exposure to BigData Technologies like Hadoop and its ecosystem is a bonus
Exposure to web development technologies like Spring, Hibernate is a bonus
