We are looking to recruit a strategic leader who will oversee management of the ESS operations in Poland. In this role, you will lead and nurture the office culture, inspire the team to excel, and collaborate with the Global Head of ESS and global stakeholders to ensure a successful partnership.

This individual will be an integral part of the ESS Leadership team contributing to overall ESS strategy and direction.

We aim to gradually grow the Poland operation, which today consists of approximately 500 colleagues in Wroclaw. Overall, the global ESS team consists of more than 2,000.

You will play a key role in aligning the Poland operation with the broader ESS operation in India and collaborating on the overall direction of the global ESS function.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

As Country Head you will be responsible for bringing the Wroclaw office to the next level in terms of service delivered.

Specific focus areas include :


  • Leading and inspiring the team to achieve the stated objectives and services within SLA, while developing a strong market perspective and future focus.
  • Operating as a strategic thought leader, setting direction and connecting with global stakeholders. Build trust and confidence.
  • Empowering individuals to take responsibility for service outcomes.
  • Retaining and nurturing a strong culture within the office. Creating a collaborative environment encouraging partnership among different functions and ESS centers;
  • sharing and integrating best practices.

  • Cascading key business information to all staff.
  • Representing the Poland operation both internally and externally.
  • Building a strong leadership team within the office.
  • Facilitating career development to enrich colleague experience and retention.
  • Reporting

  • Providing firm leadership with operational and financial management reports.
  • Understanding all SLAs and acting on areas that need general manager input.
  • Operational Infrastructure

  • Reviewing systems, processes and controls to ensure optimum efficiency and security is maintained.
  • Ensuring compliance with the company’s financial management policies.
  • Ensuring all control procedures comply with both internal and external audit requirements.
  • Ensuring work environment is fit for purpose for all employees.
  • Responsibility for the office Business Continuity Plan (BCP).
  • Building strong alignment with the broader ESS center in India.
  • Managing local suppliers and contacts in Poland.
  • Building a strong brand locally in Wroclaw to support the recruitment process.
  • Transitions

  • Accepting transitions of services into the center.
  • Acting as the primary escalation point for all shared services issues.

    Promoting an environment focused on continuous improvement in relation to process efficiencies and customer service.

    Acting as the day-to-day liaison with key customers.

    You will report to AXA XL’s Global Head of Enterprise Shared Services.
