This position is part of Planning, provides best in class product availability while optimizing inventory levels by defining mid long term planning strategy.
The objective of this position is to improve the statistical forecast for all EMEA markets by collecting and integrating the business intelligence from local demand planning teams in order to support the S&OP process while achieving forecast accuracy, inventory and customer service targets.
Your task in this role will include
Utilize strong analytical skills to analyze the performance of the statistical baseline generated for all EMA locations as part of a Central Demand Planning function
Tune forecast models using statistical methods and machine learning approaches
Understand advanced statistical forecasting techniques to select better ways to improve baseline projections
Review historical demand trends, research demand drivers, analyze various data points, prepare forecast data and evaluate forecast results
Use and maintain the Demand Planning software as the primary forecasting system
Act as a trusted advisor to the Local Supply Chain organizations to ensure effective demand baseline creation
Provide analytical support to identify and communicate insights on demand drivers and enable business partners to make better informed decisions
Identify and analyze drivers on demand patterns and clean historical demand data to identify trends and seasonality
Build visualization and decision support tools to facilitate use of algorithms outputs
Provide analysis for key KPI misses and determine drivers working with Market Demand Planners on correct actions
Assist in knowledge transfer and sustainability of processes and know-how
Train and coach other team members on skills, processes and tools
Stay abreast of developments in the field and continue to advance Demand Planning capabilities
Background and experiences
Proficiency in demand planning and forecasting with approximately 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
Ideally you will be from a consumer goods / FMCG background, with experience in a large company environment
Excellent understanding of S&OP, markets knowledge and order management
Be able to use advanced system skills and analytical tools to analyze and interpret data
Excellent communication skills in English
Understand advanced statistical forecasting techniques
Candidates with less than 3 years of experience may be considered for a more junior position if they can demonstrate high potential and desire to grow
Candidates at all levels should be keen to develop their skills and progress within the Whirlpool organization
