Connectivity Services is part of the Group CTO organization within Credit Suisse and delivers global Telecommunication services in partnership with the firm’s strategic outsourced providers.
Primary services include Data, Voice and Security Networks and covers Carrier and Telecommunications infrastructure. The Voice Design Engineering team itself is responsible for life-cycle management of the Technical Solutions, Service Designs and Standards required to provide key Connectivity Services to the firm.
A Voice Design Engineer you will focus on engineering tasks for the Voice Network product portfolio within the Connectivity Services product set.
Product portfolio includes Avaya and Cisco voice solutions, building up on Cisco Routing and Switching technologies, Voice Recording, SBC, SIP trunking and traditional ISDN and public voice connectivity, Fax Solutions, conferencing services and voice monitoring applications.
You will report directly to the Director Head of Network Engineering.
Your key task and work will include :
Product and engineering, development, and testing including hardware and software product definition and standards
Voice Network solution architecture and solution blueprint design and definition
Acting as an expert in the covered technology areas
Providing operational support during incidents where specialist knowledge is required through escalation as level 3 support
Providing support to Problem Management activities when needed as level 3 support
Ensuring product and solutions are designed and aligned with architecture principles, business requirements, firm-wide compliance / audit requirements, Credit Suisse standards and regulatory requirements
Assisting and advising Architecture with your technical experience as necessary with tasks including Requirements Management, Roadmap and Service Definition etc.
Providing technical leadership
Supporting teamwork and good people skills

Core qualifications :
You have at least 5 years of experience in technical Engineering in Voice Network products
You have experience of voice engineering for enterprise solutions as well as cloud based environment
You possess a deep understanding of all key technologies in Voice Networks including IP based Enterprise PBX, Nice Voice Recording
You are good with Oracle SBC (former Acme)
You have knowledge of automation and you can recognize the need for its implementation
You posses operational or consultancy experience
You demonstrate experience in Global Dial Plan definition and design
You have facility to describe voice requirements at management level and to interact with the data network design team
You are familiar with SIP trunking as well as with traditional ISDN and public voice connectivity and interacting with voice providers
You are self-contained, resilient with a can do approach, have good interactive skills and be a good team worker
You are able to show dedication to deliver the highest quality results
You are self-motivated, action and goal-oriented data network specialist with strong problem-solving-skills; you have the ability to push things forward, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
