The Hedge Fund, Family Offices & Fund Linked Product team within Credit Risk Management (CRM) is responsible for managing, approving, monitoring and controlling all credit risks arising from relationships with European based hedge funds, fund of hedge funds, Private Equity and family offices of ultra-
high net worth individuals (UHNWIs).
The role will support the London based European team in the day-to-day management of credit risks arising from their portfolio.
Core responsibilities will include :
Production of risk information for review at our weekly team meeting to facilitate proactive risk monitoring of clients and trading portfolios
Provision of general administration support including control & remediation of errors in hedge fund static data and monitoring of client margin calls
Supporting Credit Officer's in their writing of annual or ad hoc credit risk analysis and management of client relationships, which will involve review of constitutional documentation;
qualitative, quantitative & financial analysis to determine internal credit ratings, assessment of risks at hedge fund group and individual fund level, documentation standards, involvement in due diligence meetings as well as determination of credit risk appetite
Produce hedge fund level analysis to support Credit Officers in the production of risk reviews
Present update on weekly market events relevant to alternative investments
Monitoring of hedge fund client performance escalating concerns to Credit Officers as required
Daily monitoring of client margin calls - engagement with collateral management & escalation to Credit Officers
Production of ad-hoc reporting including Early Warning Indicators to support the review and analysis of individual client portfolios and the portfolio as a whole
Trading Documentation : Population of credit risk clauses and terms into legal database and check of credit terms against executed documentation prior to trading
Sourcing, analysis / review and filing of audited financial information with escalation and discussion to respective Credit Officers as required
Limit management and re-allocations with respect to specific trading limits
Participation in Hedge Fund Team & Risk Meetings and ad hoc discussions as needed

Solid educational background including an Undergraduate Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
Accomplished experience in a Finance position, or in Financial Accounting, Product Control or related role
Competent user of Credit Suisse finance systems (including TM1 and Essbase) and Advanced Excel
Strong reporting and analytical skills with the ability to produce high quality and insightful content
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentational); able to interact and work collaboratively with key senior stakeholders and support functions
